Yeah she was different. Patty was another interesting character. They all were actually.

Judy's character probably ages the show the most. Her personality/interests were definitely an artsty 90s thing.

True, Doug took on some serious subjects without losing its charm. And I liked that there was a moral or lesson to every episode. A lot of cartoons don't have that so I liked that Doug did.

I thought that "Doug" could have easily been like many cartoons or shows geared towards kids where the lesson or moral came across as over-the top but that never happened with "Doug" and he was the kind of kid that was easy to root for and like and you want things to go well for him.

He was pretty relateable and the things he dealt with were as well. I think everyone knew someone in school that moved away for example.
