I've seen and heard (I've been guilty of it) of people afraid of actually being completely happy and unintentionally pushing people away.

I think so, yes.

He had a rough childhood and a lot was going on with him at that time. I think being in a relationship with Brenda just became too much for him. I think he was also young and needed to explore other relationships. Same with Brenda.

Yes very true but they will always be my otp! I think if Shannen wasn't fired they would have been endgame in the show.

Only seen episodes here and there of the show. And don't think I ever really saw much of either couple or the triangle but for some reason I lean more towards Brenda and Dylan. And I have no clue why.

^ We must have the same taste in ships because you seem to like the same ones I do, even without seeing all their scenes.

I liked BD in the first two seasons but late s3 and s4 really cemented my love for them. Their bond was still there and so intense despite everything that happened in early s3. I especially loved them in s4, their scenes were so intense.

Me and some friends have talked about that, how you can pretty much tell who someone is going to ship based on their other ships. Or at least for the most part.

Although in the last few years I've noticed that I've shipped couples that aren't my norm.

Hmm, not sure if that's always true. In the LP fandom for example, there are plenty of DJo and PJo shippers.

For me it just depends on the writing and the chemistry between the actors. I generally like the couple we're supposed to like but that's not always the case.
