Oh yay someone remembers it! I loved the books, too. It was a beautiful series. The drawings were made to look just like Beatrix Potter's original drawings.

yeah it actually helped me understand the books a bit better. i was also quite confused as to mr mcgregor and his lettucve patch and how they got through it without being seen because obviously a book page can only show so much. I loved how it flowed into it though witht he real life scenes before the actual animated story began.

I felt the same. I agree, it flowed seamlessly into the animation and back into live action. And Niamh Cusack was perfect as Beatrix Potter. It also made me fall in love with my less favourites of the books, such as Pigling Bland and the Tale of Two Bad Mice and Johnny Town Mouse. I only wish they had done Squirrel Nutkin, as that one was always one of my favourite stories. Squirrel Nutkin did feature in the Tale of Mr. Todd: The Further Adventures of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny, though.

Hugh Laurie voiced Johnny Town Mouse! I was looking at the voice cast list and I never realised there was such a good cast there.

I was thinking the other day...I really miss the old MTV. Especially from the late 90s and early 2000s. Yes they did have shows, but they were much better. And I miss when they used to cover Spring Break.

they did have alot of good shows back then andi think they had to to survive because at the end of hte day people dont want to just watch music all day it does get a tad boring after a few hours. What did they do when they covered spring break? i wish we had something like springbreak here!

Well even back then it wasn't music videos all the time. Have like an hour blocked off in the morning (not like 5am like they have it now) and afternoon and play music. I put my thought in the jukebox thread on the matter.

Yes! I used to love watching it. I don't remember exactly. Pretty much showed stuff that you would imagine happens on Spring Break. I think they would have music guest to perform.

I tried googling it, apparently MTV still does it, but I don't think they air it.

From what I remember when they covered Spring Break they also would show videos and then cut to the spring breakers dancing. They also had karaoke competitions and Spring Break editions of games shows they used to have like "Singled Out."
