Well yes my accent became interesting when I moved to America in 1989 with a London accent (and getting a lot of attention from the females at HS largely because of my then-London accent), then it went through a phase with a mixture of London Cockney and Californian before finally settling with a pretty strong Cali accent. Since living in Cali for 25 years, my lifestyle has adopted the American way. However, 2 years ago I was transferred (back) to London with my job and even tried to reinvent my London accent again but it is failing But I do know most Brit slang though without much fuss, definitely more than an average American. Cranberries made some good songs in the 90s __________________

Broadly speaking, you can normally tell if you from the East Coast, Mid-West, West Coast and Deep South - I can certainly tell for sure. In UK, the accents really do change very significantly. I used to have a London accent (which is known as Cockney) before moving to the States, so coming back to England with an American accent is quite bizarre especially when I'm using Brit slang

The 90s music is the best IMO. So many great songs. Love the Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Shania Twain, Alanis Morissette, DJ Bobo etc.
