Lucy took a job in a nearby town. The finale had everyone going on a roadtip in a RV. Kevin and Lucy was riding with them until they got to where they were moving to. This was a spur of the moment trip Eric decided on after his doctor told him some news. But it was never revealed what it was. Speculation was that he was told that he didn't have much longer to live which is why he decided on the trip.

I don't know how I would feel about that either.

It's a subject I like to leave alone (not defending him) but from what I've read and remember, people exaggerated a lot of it or assumed it was much more. Not saying he's not wrong.

- Made pediphilia seem ok more than once. And I am talking about on the show, not anything to do with Collins or involving him. The first thing that comes to mind is the Ruthie and Robbie thing. Don't get me wrong; I love their friendship but at times... the way it was portrayed. I just feel so bad for Mack and Adam. No wonder they both used drugs. by the way, drugs are bad, kids!

- Made homophobia the norm and had her characters say stuff like "Oh, Lord, no, I am not gay." like it was the worst illness ever in the history of illnesses all throughout the universe's existence. I understand people have their hesitation about gay and lesbian people, but to have a character say that in 2005?! Sure, this was ten years before gay marriage became legal in the United States, but still. It was 2005 not 1985.

- Made psychosis/borderline personality disorder/any form of mental health seem like someone needed to be institutionalized. Such as that cutter girl or the girl who purged after every meal. No, they just need to go to a clinic and get counselling for their eating disorder or self-inflicting habits. And, besides, there's much deeper issues stemming from those problems that goes beyond toothbrushes and razor blades!

-- Unless it's Annie "going through menopause" then it is ok to lock four kids in an incomplete garage apartment. Two of those four kids of hers were under the age of 18. That's child abuse.

So, yeah, I am not surprised Brenda Hampton would include Collins in a reunion show... however, Eric would totally be dead. Nobody's heart issues magically resolves itself overnight. I believe he was dead in the episode before the series finale and the second series finale itself was just a dream from the beyond or him being in limbo. When he set the engine on and drove off, that would be his transition into Heaven or whatever.

I think her earlier comments were just because she was caught off guard. Saying the reunion would have to happen with a shot of Eric's coffin. She probably also thought that was the only way it was going to happen. I wonder if anything will come of this?

Catherine and Brenda may be willing to include him, but what about the studio who will be making such a reunion show? Or the network (streaming service?) that would air it?

Didn't think of those. Re runs are shown on the UP channel and after the news broke they did pull the show for a while but they put it back on air.
