He kinda came to her rescue in the season 2 finale - it was pretty cute. Vanessa returned from Europe and developed an immediate connection with Scott. His feelings were ambiguous, but we know that he does care for her to some extent. But at this point, we're just waiting for proper closure.

even people that dont like V couldn't believe she wasnt at Rufus's wedding. It's insane. Maybe the writers wanted to leave it open ended.

I was hoping that they would have an awkward exchange at the wedding. Him apologizing to her for putting her in that situation. And her welcomin him to he craziness that is the van der humphrey world. Maybe her walking him to the bus stop asking him to visit her.

But for her not to even come to rufus' wedding who is like her father is just really weird. I guess she had had enough drama. Dan seemed really understanding weirdly.

It's almost ironic. I mean the writers used to try so hard sometimes to include her in things, and the one thing she should be at, and she doesn't show up.
