I Don't Know How She Does It #1: We may not know how she does it, but keep doing it!

I Don't Know How She Does It

A representative for the Weinstein Co. production confirmed late Tuesday that Szohr was joining the cast as the nanny of Kate Reddy, the highflying businesswoman and mother of two played by Parker. The movie is based on Allison Pearson's hit novel, is written by the scribe behind "The Devil Wears Prada" and is being directed by Douglas McGrath ("Infamous"). Szohr will begin shooting her part this week.

The move rounds out a cast that's already pretty eclectic: Greg Kinnear plays Parker's husband, Pierce Brosnan is the other man, Olivia Munn is Parker's finance-world colleague and Christina Hendricks plays her friend

TFTNT!

It's funny how she worked with Matthew Broderick in Tower Heist and SJP.

I like this one...

I don't know about Tower Heist, but I Don't Know How She Does It is apart of The Weinstein Co (also behind Piranha 3D).

Pretty much the Wenstein company is attached to every big project

Tower Heist production company is Imagine Entertainment and the distributor is Universal pictures.

Oh, Is the hubby in TH? Sweet!

I added a title. Hmm..a book character..at least we'll know a name. lol I guess if it's all from a book..it should be "officially" her name.

LOVE the pics!

Looking up this book..look what I found:
Quote:
The children’s nanny, Paula, is haughty, spiteful, and inclined to emotional blackmail.

it doesn't sound evil to me more like the typical conniving immature young girl, because the book doesn't seems to be about good or bad but about real people with real problems.

Quote:
With the help of a nanny and a husband with a professional job of his own, she oversees homelife and office demands, juggling children's birthday planning with keeping major clients happy. Like many working women, she finds it impossible to be perfect in her career at the same time she is perfect as a mother.

And she fights conflicting feelings of wanting to keep her nanny satisified so her kids have a happy, secure bond to her and wanting to boot the nanny out so she doesn't get too close to the kids. "Men think about child care with their wallets, women feel it in their wombs. Every twist in the relationship with the person minding your young is a tug on the umbilical. Phones may have become cordless, but mothers never will."

When her husband leaves her, she's so busy that he has the nanny read his good-bye letter over the phone while she's away on business. He knows nothing about her client friend, but too much about her all-consuming career. The couple enters a period of distant co-parenting.

I think that is so fascinating. It's giving me HIGH HOPES for Jess's role.

Congrats to Jess - the role sounds very intriguing. When I read nanny I was like Oh she won't have an interesting part - but the whole blackmail etc makes her role more of an integral character. Might just see it just Jess.

I hear you. I figured it would be like Leighton's part in Date Night, but this seems to be a bigger role!
