Yeah, I just hope they do the actual characters and book, instead of the watered down versions they always do. Heathcliff is often hinted to be the devil in male form and Cathy is a selfish bitch. But It's great

Normal adaptations really water them down and make Heathcliff a tragic romantic hero, not the man from the books.

Totally, totally agree. I love that they're actually a total bitch & bastard and you still root for them and their love so much. (Like CB used to be really.)

Have you seen the 2009 WH version btw? It's the best Heathcliff I've seen so far.

No I didn't because I heard it was quite good and as soon as Ed signed on to do it I thought it was best not to watch it.

I am odd like that. I want Ed to be the one to own Heathcliff

Lol, I understand where you're coming from.

And Tom Hardy (who plays H) is a god basically.... For me he beats out Olivier hands down.

It will be interesting to compare with Ed.
