Honestly, I think she should tell Dan if she's struggling on what to do. I think it was a lot for Scott to ask of V especially after lying to her repeatedly. She can always meet a new guy, but having a friend like Dan doesn't come very often.

My concern is that this could make her look bad in either situation, which sucks because she doesn't deserve that. Vanessa is a good and supportive friend... I hope Dan realizes that if anything transpires between them.

I think he will. Other than the ridiculousness of the premiere, Dan's EXTREMELY understanding when it comes to Vanessa.

I agree, it really isn't. This isn't something small. this is serious. Adopted kid. Lily gave him up. Rufus has known about him for almost a year. This isn't something that V should be telling. It's up to Scott. he's the kid involved. It's up to him to decide if he wants to 'meet' his family.

And, Dan, he might be pissed initially, but I think he will definitely understand that it isn't about Vanessa.

I mean he's the one who didn't tell S about the lovechild when he learnt about it because it was up to Lilly to tell her daughter. And S was his girlfriend at the time.
He'll understand.
But the worst part is going to watch V struggle with the situation. I hate when she hides things from D. He's the only one she can tell everything. Same for D.

I didn't even think of that but yes if he understood that he should understand that it is not her place to say anything here. I'm gonna be mad if he doesn't!
