Palmer looking for assistant sounds like fun...

Thanks for the thread! :)

Thanks for the thread!

Poor Palmer ...

I can completely sympathise with him about the choosing someone based on his/her resume...

Bishop and her comment about Palmer doing 2 men's job with a smile on his face

Loved the case: even if they have already done something like that... (According to my dad...)

Poor Jimmy at the beginning  The idea of him getting his own ME assistant has been long overdue. I love how the applicants either seemed hopeless or a little too weird. Until an uncanny younger version of Ducky came. I loved that  What a shame he couldn't stick around. But probably best that he didn't. No one can do Ducky better than Ducky himself. Still he had a great name. Christopher Crane. Mallard. Crane. Love it.

I liked the case in this episode. Nice that Vance was able to pull some strings and get Murphy reinstated with a good job. I just read about the actress who played Murphy, Katie Leclerc apparently, she's hard of hearing herself, she has Ménière's disease, a disorder of the inner ear characterized by episodes of vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss. Oh, and checking imdb she also played the Emily in The Big Bang Theory, Raj's brief girlfriend who was deaf. Interesting.

maplezbear 02-02-2020 08:14 PM

Yes, that was so funny. I loved that too about the younger Ducky came in and Palmer didn't notice that he was so similar to Ducky
Hopefully one day Palmer will get a assistant though

The case was good and I liked how it ended.
I didn't even realize the actress playing Murphy was Katie. I have seen her in several things but she looked a bit different here! She also played on Switched at Birth, where she played a deaf character.

Mini-Ducky was fun... Even if he decided to leave at the end of the day... :P

I wonder when Palmer gets a real ME assistant... :look:

I didn't know about the actress... Probably because I'm not familiar with the other 2 shows where she appeared... :look:

maplezbear 02-03-2020 09:10 PM

I agree  It was just so funny he came in and just left the same day like that.

I dunno, but hopefully soon!

That would make sense. If I hadn't seen the shows I wouldn't know who she is probably

florerr 02-04-2020 02:50 PM

And I loved how Kasie kept stating the obvious to Palmer with the similarities... :lmao:

Either way I'll add her name to the guest star list at some point... (when I get back to it... :D )

always good when you don't follow orders :look:

Funny comparison of the team sitting around all relaxed while Palmer comes in all crazied. Surprised that he didn't already have an assistant if that is the case but understandable it'd be hard for him. Still think Vance or Gibbs should've been pushing him to do it before now. Or even Ducky. It is overdue for him to have someone (but guess they didn't want to 'replace' Ducky too quickly either)

What was the bat for Gibbs? :look: waking Palmer up? :P

I feel like we've had a case like this before - with bodies found in an area with missiles or something buried instead & the body was in a car though. Back in season 1

also good when people just disappear after not following orders...

wow that first prospect assistant was terrible. What did she think the job was like & what would be expected of her?

Now that explains some things. Like how Gibbs figured out the suspect was deaf based on her responses/lack of responses

Someone is complaining about helping a living patient? Sounds suspicious... can we check if he is secretly a murder?

Funny how she read Palmer & Torres lips in the reflection on the monitor

I don't think you're meant to laugh after finding out your step brother is dead unless you want to make yourself seem like a suspect

Why is it Abby & now Kasie could never get an assistant? Well minus Chip... if both have made comments about how much work is there then surely there is a need for it?

McGee asking if Ducky has a new younger brother they know nothing about

It really is disgusting how someone who can't hear can't serve in some way. Nice that the show brought light to that issue

Go Diana or whatever her name was fighting off the real murderer

Slightly weird how Kasie & Palmer were watching the possible new assistant

That was weird what that guy said when Palmer was going to offer him the job. I don't get what he meant either

Nice ending :)

livstevi21 02-05-2020 04:05 AM

Yes, true, they probably didn't want to be 'replacing' Ducky too quickly.

Haha, I forgot about the bat.

Well, Abby always preferred to work alone, without an assistant that is, despite all of the work that was expected of her and her comments about it. And after what happened with Chip, who can blame her. Though I can see that Kasie would probably like to have an assistant.

florerr 02-05-2020 05:36 AM

Yeah, but last year I think Kasie was still on a trial base - not daring to ask for more - but now she feels more at home... :)

In season 1 - Boneyard maybe :look: - there was a similar episide with a man & a car but that was a maffia case... Nothing to really do with military :D

shinebrighterxx 02-06-2020 12:35 AM

For Abby though she did complain about the workload, even if she also said she didn't want one & preferred to work alone. But I would think if there is a high workload that once Abby was gone it'd be considered?

Yeah the two cases were different still, they just had similar starting places/feels

florerr 02-06-2020 02:27 PM

Probably that's why my dad kept saying that they've already done a similar episode... :P

True, but then at the end of the day Abby preferred to work alone...

At least we know that Kasie is different - she'd love to have her own assistant... Maybe she'll get one at some point... :look:
