I hope everyone had a great weekend and a good Monday.

It was so annoying going back to work after two such great weeks off But I survived And Thursday's a public holiday, and I probably got Friday off, so that's okay

The lake we went to on Saturday was beautiful - it looked like a real sea beach, with sand and little waves rolling in on the shore It was ultimate relaxation In the evening we had a barbecue
Yesterday we went to Czech Republic for lunch and did a little shopping in the Duty Free Shop there All in all it was a great weekend!

I know someone else who had to get a certified miniature Birth Certificate. It was actually someone my sister dated for awhile. If things keep after I get my new, revised copy of my Divers License I might consider it more.

Yup, the house is coming along. We have the one little hall to paint, a few more pictures to put up, some paintings to buy, a table and chairs for the breakfast nook to buy, furniture for my dad's study to buy and then we should be set (short of the few things the builder needs to finish- i.e. bring the shutters and put them up and a few minor things we found needing fixed in the house).

Shay and Lulu are being very cute in how they're starting to get a long

Sounds like a lovely time, Steffi! I always get a kick out how those who live in Europe say that they just jumped over to a different country for the day like it's no big deal and I sit here thinking how if I drive west for 6 hours I'm still in the same state!

It is hard to get back to work after having that much time off! Especially when you only have to go back for a few days then you have almost another week off like you will have

I think the same thing Andie when I see Steffi post about her trips. One of the main reasons I get jealous It must be so nice to be able to do that!



I thought I had a dentist appointment tomorrow, but it's actually on Thursday I already told my boss I would be in late tomorrow I would rather have it tomorrow so I can get it over with.

Spooks forgave me, eventually . She didn't claw me too bad I only have one mark amazingly. She just was scared & clinging on tightly. She must have gotten her claws mainly in my top.

Same Andie . If I want to go to a different country I have to go overseas so not something that's possible to me so it's all a little foreign & hard to imagine in my mind

I'm glad everyone likes the title!

Yeah, my sister's bf at the time looked really young. He started attending the same church as us and my mom actually introduced him to my sister because she thought he was cute and a good guy and my sister might like him... she also thought he was 17 or 18. Turns out he was 21 my parents ended up letting my sister and him date (my sis was only 16-ish at the time), but the broke up after a few months. He had to have a mini BC though because he looked so young.

I hope my new license works better too, Chelle!

So we're all jealous of Steffi and her country hopping?

Sorry about your dentist appointment not being when you thought it was, Steph!

Yesterday was really hot and then we got storms that surrounded us and today is going to be the same way it looks like.

Sounds like you are approaching the finalization of the house, Andie I think it's a great idea to take it slowly, as long as you don't have to sleep on the floor there is no need to rush in decorating a house

I'm sure Shay and Lulu will make for some cute pictures together, won't they?

Aw girls I admit it's a huge advantage living in Europe with so many different cultures and countries. Germany has a great geographical position too, right in the middle of Europe I love traveling! I can't imagine having to travel for hours to get out of my country. I mean, if I wanted to go to, like, Denmark, which is north of Germany, I would have to drive 8 to 9 hours in my car. In the same time I could be in Venice, Italy, as well

So, done with my week! I could get used to working like that, going to work for three days and then having four days off again

I have never even been to the German shores on the North Sea or the Baltic Sea for that matter though I have been to so many places in Europe and have never been to the German coast

Understandable you want the dentist appointment over, Steph! Good that it's today Hope the appointment went well!

It's such a pretty day outside today. I will try and find something to do outside, I still have no idea what to do with my day off (which is not too bad )

Yup, we're getting close to finishing up the house. We got the grill today (it was delivered) and dad and I put it together. We can't use it today, or this week for that matter, because of the weather. I'm so sick of rain!

I'm sure once Shay and Lulu fully get along that they'll take great pictures!

Germany is a great location for traveling in Europe. Most have to go through Germany to get to anywhere else.

I could so go for a work week like that when I finally get a job.

I hope your feeling better and your dentist appointment went well, Steph! I have a dentist appointment on Monday.

The weather is suppose to be crumby all week. It's cold and rainy. We're going to be lucky to crack 70 degrees F today. Last I checked we're in August and not November!

Andie, sorry the weather is so bad for you Hopefully it'll get better soon!

Everyone in Europe loves Germany because it is the only country that doesn't have toll booths for the highways, and that allows people to drive as fast as they want on the highways too
And it's true, to get to most places, you will have to go through Germany

If I ever become chancellor I will arrange that I will only have to work for three days

I had a lazy day today. I watched a lot of stuff on Youtube, and I have started rewatching ER. I had forgotten how much I loved this show!

I heard back from the place I went to the job interview at & I didn't get the job. But I can possibly go in there on a volunteer basis though which is still something & better than nothing . It is always nice to have something good come out of something not so good

The weather here is still beautiful - after that long hard winter we had we were really blessed with a perfect summer I never want it to end, and yet, fall is coming But not this weekend

It's actually okay. Statistics in Europe have shown that Germany has less accidents on its highways than the other European countries that have speed limits on their highways It sounds weird As much as I complain when I drive on the highway, I have to admit that the system works. The left and fastest lane is reserved for everyone in their BMWs, Audis and Mercedes The rest of us uses the other two lanes

Sorry you didn't get the job, Chelle But you are right, it's cool that you can volunteer there, and who knows, maybe that will lead to a job there then! It's great they offered you to volunteer

And sorry you have another eye appointment I hope they won't poke your eyes too much!

Going to the beergarden tonight I can use my new camera to take some pictures there!

The system in Germany does seem to work for them, but I don't know if it could work for here.

The weatherman this morning nail it when describing the weather... we're having an Irish Summer right now. It's cold (we're hitting and breaking record lows) and wet.

So there was something that happened in the NCIS fandom last night. People are upset over Cote's leaving and some believe that she was fired/pushed out/etc and have started petitions and such to get her back. Some of these people crossed major lines in recent weeks. Last night at least one got belligerent with Matt Mitovich on twitter and someone got ahold of 230 reporters PRIVATE email addys and emailed them a rude, deplorable email (this seems to have happened around the time of TCAs) and one of the reporters who got the email published a scathing article related to the email. What these people fail to realize is that the shameful actions of one person or only a few people reflects on the entire fandom. It cast us all in a bad light and repercussion will be felt from their actions. We could get a formal, public rebuke from CBS. We could end up with the cast and crew ordered off of Twitter (by way of an amendment to their contracts). We could even end up with CBS reducing the number of episodes ordered for the season as a punishment for the actions of some people. The other thing that could happen is that CBS could release press stuff related to NCIS and the press could refuse to print it because of what happened. What happened is shameful, deplorable, sad, sickening, and so many other things. People need to stop and think before doing things that they do because they could end up ruining things for everyone.
