Thanks for the thread!

Looks like that Rita is back :yay:

thanks for the thread.

wonder if Patton can we the argument. His goddaughter is a smartass.

florerr 11-15-2020 03:54 AM

She is... But I'm sure that they will reach some kind of an agreement by the episode's end...

maplezbear 11-15-2020 04:54 PM

Thanks fore the thread. Hope I like this episode better than the first.

florerr 11-17-2020 02:54 PM

I already watched the episode. :P

I liked the second part as well, it was balanced out... And I think that I'm going to like the new guy, Carter (?) too...

JustMe2000 11-19-2020 12:08 AM

I think they did a great job casting Martin's goddaughter.

The sub plot involving the woman trying to find her brother's body was tough to watch, I don't mean on that in a bad way. CCH knocked these episodes out of the park. I know these shows never win awards, but she was worthy. I'm glad they addressed covid head on, although I do hope it's less front and center moving forward.

I enjoyed the byplay between Carter and Gregorio.

I guess kissing scenes in the era of covid are just fine when you're kissing your wife. :P

florerr 11-19-2020 02:04 PM

CCH was amazing  Even if she won't receive any awards for her outstanding performance...

And I liked the goddaughter too

wasn't really sure after the first episode, but after watching the second I think it was a good start for the season.
liked the case and that they showed what people all around the world have to deal with at the moment, especially working in health care or funeral homes or being a relative or a close friend of an infected person. good work in writing and acting.
loved what the old man did for all those dead people.

carter had seemed to make some progress in socializing. hope he can keep that up.

liked the goddaughter too. thought she was a smartass, but looks like it was just her way of dealing with things. glad she graduated without any problems.

Rita :)

A missing body. Sad that this is probably a common feeling/experience

I found the first episode more interesting to respond to :P

The argument between Patton & his goddaughter is well done

No surprise Rita is negative. Or maybe because I'd seen a promo pic where they kiss so that influenced my opinion :P

Love what Pride's brother is doing getting all the supplies to help people

Interesting that Rita has quit her job... wonder what she'll do now

Nice make up moment between Patton & his goddaughter too :)

More bodies are disappearing? Interesting why he was taking them. It came from a good place

I knew the doctor was suspicious!

Now there's two guys to pick on how messy Tammy is

It would be wonderful if they could (for a change) give CCH an award for her performance in these eps :sigh:

definitely would help. Although I was watching another show & it had kissing in it too so there must be some way shows are getting around it

I agree with that, she was doing a great job from the beginning of the show.

watched a show with kissing in it too - and it wasn't just one couple. I thought to myself if this was really necessary... but if the actors agree on that it should be fine.

florerr 11-22-2020 07:53 AM

CCH would deserve to have her acting recognized  She has been amazing since the show's very beginning...

I guess as long as the health scanning is done regularly, it's up to the actors what they are willing to do...

Chelle, you're lucky that you can't decide what is fact & legend when it comes to Covid... I fear that most of what has been shown in the NOLA 2-parter actually happened in the beginning of the US outbreak :bawl:

Also, the ships not being allowed to dock also happened... There were crews who couldn't visit their families for months...

Same goes for Hannah's family, lockdown during March in Europe meant that flights were cancelled, and if you wanted to get home or anywhere else you had to constantly rebook your flight and hope that one will actually depart from the airport... ... Mind you the same is happening once again with some of the airlines cancelling flights in the US with European destinations.

yeah I had to go back & watch again to check I did see what I thought I did in the other show. But if the actors are fine with it . I don't think its necessary but it is nice to see that element of normality in shows too. I certainly don't expect it with everything going on though

Australia got things about ships & flights. It was our cruising season so we had lots of cruise ships off the coast just stuck there with their crew as they couldn't go anywhere & all the countries the crews were from wouldn't let them back in as they couldn't risk it. But we also wouldn't let them in either. Then there was a whole Ruby Princess mess. We got a whole bunch of cases due to cruise ships, especially because of the timing of it. Then there were a lot of Australians stranded around the world trying to find a way home but all the flights were being canceled or rerouted.

florerr 11-23-2020 02:08 PM

 Same goes for soap operas though... :look:

Yeah, I forgot about that... But yes, Ruby Princess became quite famous for being a petri dish for the virus ... :look:

And of course, you got the toilet paper crisis too...

But at least you didn't have that many cases in overall, which is good :)

I thought this episode was much better than the first.

Starting to warm up to Carter now. I can tolerate him much more that last season.
