Thanks for the thread. It was nice while it lasted - not having a Pride centered episode.

my first thought when I was putting up the thread was 'oh look, another Pride-centric episode'

i liked the case, but we had the dream scenes again and it doesn't look like they are over.
pride has a half-brother and he seems like a nice guy. hope it stays that way. so it was more like a pride family story, but it wasn't as bad, boring and annoying as expected. actually i felt entertained - except for the dream scenes. they are just confusing me. |

Finally got around to watching this episode. Nuwanda, I agree with everything you said.
I actually liked the storyline and learning more about Pride. Those dream sequence things totally ruined it though... at least for me. It was nice to see Pride has more family. __________________

I guess why Pride was called but can't we have a case without him being called in? Even if this is the 100th episode?
Protective Loretta is nice to see I'm sorry but are we not meant to notice that the actress who played Diane (Gibbs & Fornell's ex-wife) in the original show is in this episode as a different character? Its fine to reuse actors but that's a pretty important one in the original show so I don't think that's a good idea. She looks a little different but that voice was unmistakable for me. In this episode she played Gina Powell - the witness from the casino heist that Pride goes to see (who later turns out to be involved with the heist) The random sleeping/dream bits are a bit weird, I agree with both of you . Does set the scene a bit but its weirdly done. Why does Pride keep falling asleep? The half-brother is an interesting twist. He seems fun. Like Gregorio & Patton's reaction & how one moved the chips away while the other moved them closer "You gotta trust me big brother" "please don't call me that" aww I feel for Cassius watching his sons getting shot at. Then Jimmy getting taken Interesting how really Gina is involved Funny how Pride knew where to find the money in his father's car Knew the car would be empty - that was predictable I like how the team hang out in Pride's bar. Funny them watching Pride & Jimmy, commenting on them An actual interesting Pride-orientated episode - what a nice change __________________

2. Thought that too. But in one episode they even used an ex secnav as a different character so I think they don't think much about all that. 3. it was. and I have no problem with that either. I just don't want it every week. |

Yeah I don't mind them calling him either, but he doesn't then have to do EVERYTHING. He needs to go back to his actual job
Valid point about it not being the first time. I kinda feel that this one is worse than the secnav but still bad choice of actors to reuse __________________
