You're welcome for the threads

I watched the promo before reading the summary & I got worried over what McGee was doing. I don't want to wait for the episode to air here since it is a McGee episode (plus I'll be waiting until Feb most likely). The promo had me thinking that he may have been leaving but if it has to do with his father then that hopefully won't be the case then. I wonder if this means his father has passed away

when i watched the promo yesterday i had no sound. so i watched it again and seeing and hearing mcgee like that makes me sad.
i think it has to do with his father and since it is christmas time you think about things more often.
don't think he is going to leave and i hope everything will work out for him again.

It has been awhile since I posted, but this episode really got to me. I realized when I saw Tim put on the suit that he was most likely going to a funeral, which meant that his father was most likely dead. Tim composed a truly heartfelt goodbye to his father, which had me in tears. Not just that it was a truly emotional moment, but I can truly relate. It will be 20 years this Christmas since I lost my grandmother. The end of the episode really brought back a lot of memories. My hats off to the writers for composing a true tear jerker.

I am glad that the rest of the episode a lot of lighter moments or I would be a true mess by now. It is kind of funny how the hacker storyline mirrors the recent headlines to a degree. I also liked the recapping of the rules. A lot of them are truly words to live by. All in all a really good ep.

I agree with everything you've said here. It was a very interesting style of episode with the writing of the letter to review events that happened in the past and to review the rules. I was a little surprised by his father's death at the end because of the wonderful way this narrative was played out. I liked that Tim started his letter commenting that he was a published novelist, and this letter appeared that was as well.

In the end, I was brought to tears. Then real life popped up and I wonder why it is that we take the opportunity to finally say things like this to our family when they are dead.

But superb episode.

I liked the episode.
The case wasn’t very good – or I didn’t understand it right (too much computer stuff) - , but It was nice to see some of the old scenes again.
Poor mcgee. I am feeling really sorry for him, but I have to say Sean murry played it very well.

The rest was funny:
Tim wanted to keep the idea between him and abby, but it was too late.
Gibbs agrees with tim’s opinion to visit the criminals – he let them being brought in.
Gibbs saying to mcgee “you speak geek” and dinozzo’s look when gibbs told mcgee that it was tony’s idea.
Tony saying “merry krampus”
One of the criminals asking mcgee “where did tony and the hot one go?”
Gibbs’ s idea taking the criminals to autopsy and saying: it is getting very personal.”

And it seems like kevin is the only one who regrets his actions.

Tim McGee had a great episode. Yes his father Navy Admiral John McGee's passing made me cry. The actor(Rick Deats) played a Admiral on JAG. They also list Jamey Sheridan playing him. He skipped his operation to be with his family one last Christmas. Then he must have passed at that time. My father passed on Christmas last year so that really hit me. Tim's letter to dad was great! He compared Gibbs rules to his fathers. Tim's letter finished with, "It takes a man to make a man. Thank you for everything, Merry Christmas Dad, I love you!" Then he put the letter in with him and kisses his forehead, very moving. I liked Tim typing on the old typewriter and playing albums on a turntable. So he likes a lot of the stuff Gibbs does. But has thought it strange before that Gibbs didn't know how to use a cell phone well? Maybe Tim has a dial-up phone, lol Or Gibbs does.

I liked when Ducky had the 3 down in the Morgue to see him autopsie the body of Lyle. Surprised none got sick. Must be Jimmy and Vance were already on Christmas vacation. What team fills in when they are away?

It was funny that the Cyber Task Force send Tim back to the bullpen. They kicked him out. I also liked Tim's work as the Geek leader to interrogate the 3 inmates that had worked with Krampus. He didn't want to work with them. It was Tony's idea to bring them to the bullpen.Tim asked who was going to work with them and Gibb's replied, "You are, you speak Geek!" "Merry Krampus!", stated Tony. But they helped the team get the new flat screen monitors that had been in storage for like 5 years? The team never looked in that room before? Heidi was funny when she thought the old monitors were bought by the Continental Congress, lol

We find that the great Krampus is a 30-40 year old bum named Douglas Von Dorothy who is sponging off his elderly parents in a old folks home and used teen and older porn to control people. He looked so surprised in the FBI Agent Patricia Filsk(The actress played Michelle Hanna(Sam's wife) in the first season of NCIS:LA)News Report on ZNN. Kevin Hussein reading that report about Krampus to Heidi Partridge, really deflated her thinking of him. The 3 really were kinda useless for most of the night. Henry(Ajay) Khan, I would have been surprised that them giving him Bishop's phone to give to Heidi to call Krampus would have worked. I was surprised they were going to do a make out video, but Gibbs rushing in and smashing the phone really was cool. Lyle Trigget the frozen "Snowman" hacker that had a heart attack was strange. Ducky tried to explain that one. Wondered if Krampus was going to use the Virus to take down the or threaten to take down the power grid in the future so make some money on blackmail? Or was he going to sell it on the black market?

I really like the Gibbs Rule list. I tried to write them all down. Also really liked the flashbacks. Lots of great scenes and former members of Gibbs team there

It did seem Kevin was the sorry but Heidi came out near the end after krampus was exposed as being sorry.

Thanks for the tidbit of McGee's father being an admiral on JAG. Fascinating. Love the character carry overs.

So sorry for your loss webruce That year anniversary is rough. I hope this episode watching gave you some consoling.

The group that had to work were all called in at the last minute by Gibbs, so you are correct I bet about Jimmy and Vance.

Kevin did seem remorseful. He was part of the "team" and I bet he misses being involved.

Really great episode.

Did anyone keep track of all the rules?!

I agree with everything that has been said already. Here is also a couple of my own

I like how this episode had McGee narrate it throughout.

Like how Bishop was trying to show Gibbs what was going on with the internet using the filing cabinet Then Gibbs saying "I don't like this game"

Loved all the flashbacks we had. It was so nice seeing some of those moments from the past seasons like that.

It was so sad that McGee's dad died. I had a feeling that's what happened, but just didn't think they would do it that quick.

On a side note, webruse, so sorry for your loss. Yours too, Wildcat492002. I can only imagine how much harder this time of year is for you.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, Webbruce

I did enjoy the episode. I love McGee. It was great to see him front and center in an episode. I don't recall his dad in JAG, and I was a huge fan But it was a long time ago.

Question: What the heck did IT Kevin do to get put in jail?. I don't recall that at all. Last I saw him, he was helping him set up whatshisname, "the number 2 cyberterrorist in the world" on fakeGuantanamo. I'm

I can't remember right now but didn't he do something in the first episode of this season?

I thought about keeping track of them only half way though the episode nuwanda. I am surprised there were no new ones. Loved that they touched upon there being double rules

I don't remember about Kevin either.
