Fan Forum Holiday Icon Set Competition
Get into the holiday spirit! Work together, and show us what your board can do!
Create holiday themed icon set on the topic of all your favorite tv shows, celebrities and movies to submit for the competition.

Hi everyone!

We are holding the annual Holiday Icon Set Competition this year and we're happy to announce that this board has signed up to participate.

For rules, information, a list of all of the boards that are participating, and a place to ask any questions, please visit this thread on the Info Center board.

Rules:

All of the icons must be holiday themed and flow together as you are submitting a set of 3-5 icons. You are free to use any technique (brushes, textures etc...). For help and tutorials, the Fan Art board is a great place to find it.
The icons you submit must be exactly 100x100 pixels in size and in JPEG or PNG format. No animated icons are allowed.
Each of your icons in your icon set must be of the same topic and of a similar style.
Final submissions should be a separate post in the thread marked with the words "to submit it for the competition" in red. This way, we will know that it is the final version of the art you would like to submit. It will be linked on the beginning post of the thread, updated frequently. If you do not see your art on that post a few days after you post it, please PM one of the GT Managers (Mel, Chelle, or Kate). The moderators of every board are responsible to add the arts to the OP by the deadline. Any art that hasn't been added in by 24 hours after the deadline won't be included in the polls.
YYou may submit to as many boards as you wish, but it must be no more than 5 icons per board. You may most certainly make more and post it on the thread for people to see, however you may only submit 5 for the competition per board. There is no limit to how many boards you can submit an art for. You are also more than welcome to participate in both the holiday icon set competition and the holiday fan art competition.

COMPETITION DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 21ST AT 6 PM EST.

Ok done my other three boards, now to figure out how to do what I've got in my head for this one

. Hoping to have these ones done tomorrow, providing my idea works

Hope we get a couple of submissions

Just to clarify if anyone is wondering - icons don't have to be all from the one show within the franchise. Providing the icons still meet the other rules & you create a set of matching icons, which shows/characters you use in the icons themselves is up to you.

It didn't work as well as I hoped. I think deciding to add two characters didn't help. But I don't hate how they turned out

Thank you Chelle for your help and inspiration for the icons and opening my eyes to new ways of doing things. It was good to think outside of the box and consider different ways to make icons other than just cropping an image.

The deadline has now passed. Thank you and good luck to everyone who has participated. We hope you had fun. The icons are all amazing.

Moderators you now have 24 hours to ensure all submissions are in the OP. Round 1 polls will be set up after this time and only the art in the OP will be included. If your board has only got one entry that art will automatically be included in the round 2 polls.

Note: Round 1 polls will be added by numerous members of the Management Team, so may not be started all at once. So please don't worry if you see some up on other boards but not yours. A site wide announcement will be made once all polls are up.
