thanks for the thread.

haven't seen someone from JAG in years. might be interesting to see them working together again

I like that they're still going back to the roots & using JAG (not sure if he was actually in the show since I didn't watch?) even after all this time

It is nice to see Bud from "Jag". We have seen the retired Chegwidden on Los Angeles. He helps Hetty at times.

I worried that Alan Newhall knew more about Melissa's life, or he did something bad to her growing up. Then I thought her friend Carrie Lyons was more involved in her "life", or death. Also they throw in about bf Barry Goode about being rough. I am glad they believed he was celibate, and they were going to wait. it is hard to believe Michelle Newhall would have such extreme lives.

Was surprised that Gibbs didn't do something to Jimmy when he called him Jethro, and quoted Ducky. But maybe he also misses him when he isn't at work.

I know the girls must have been pretty scared about teacher Emit Paul dying of a heart attack, but am surprised they could dig such a hole to hide him for all those years. Must be the camcorder recording, and the tying up and all made "Rita" take up the same live? Sloane tried to explain it. I did seem a bit much for 8pm viewing, but they didn't show much graphics. But my wife wouldn't watch it.

there is nothing to add - except: i felt a bit bored - again and liked the previous ep much much more....

an interesting episode mainly never judge a book by its cover really

do we know why we are getting less ducky ??

that poor mother finding her daughter like that :( (well both parents, but the mother found her)

adorable baby pics :sigh:

McAbby :yay: I like that McGee was working in Abby's lab even though she wasn't there

(possible Easter Egg - Abby has a splinter, tried the banana peel, didn't work)

I like Bud at least from first impression. Was he in JAG?

Interesting twist that "Rita" was really Melissa. Knew from the voicemail that it was more likely something sexual involved, the wording just sounded like it'd be like that

I feel like without Sloane's character this case wouldn't have gone in this direction or been as indepth on the psychological side of things. It is a good way to use that character, which is something. Now for them to use their other characters, preferably in one ep...

Again McAbby  He went to her lab when he felt like he'd screwed up?

the teacher abused the students? that is a significant event. Seems a stretch that Melissa would then seek out abusive situations as punishment for something, but I have no idea how the mind works. Especially if they didn't actually kill him, but I can understand how she'd believe it was her fault he had died

I don't understand why the friend left Melissa hanging. Why not call someone about the body? Could've saved her friend's parents having to see her like that

I like the scene at the end between Gibbs & Sloane

Random fact: The actor who played Melissa's father (James Read) also played the father of the Charmed ones in Charmed. As soon as he started talking at the start of the ep I knew exactly who it was & started fangirling over that  :sigh:

I forgot to post on this episode

Agreed with just about everything you said Chelle.

Bud was on JAG  I like that they bring some of them on NCIS every once in a while.

Loved we got a few McAbby scenes  And that very well could have been an Easter egg!

I wondered that as well, but I am guessing it had something to do with the teacher abusing them and them with all that had happened back then.

 Yeah, when I heard the dad talking I knew who it was as well

shinebrighterxx 03-10-2018 07:39 PM

Probably but I don't get it still. She could've gotten rid of the suicide note & then respected her friend by calling the authorities. That'd still protect her, while then also protecting her friend. Either way NCIS would've figured out what happened anyway. Then at least that way it doesn't risk her friend's family seeing their daughter like that. Their last memory of their daughter is going to be seeing her hanging like that & its her fault. But obviously she wasn't in the right state of mind to realise something like that

maplezbear 03-11-2018 06:00 PM

That is very true on both parts.
