Sounds interesting, looking forward to (eventually) seeing it . Somehow I can't picture Gibbs staying out of it completely

Ok, this episode is amazing, and why I still love NCIS 12 years later. Joe Spano with a broken Fornell is fantastic. You saw all the emotions, raw and biting.
Gibbs, I think this is the most emotion, I've seen him have. As I tweeted, Gibbs knows, Gibbs knows all. it's true. And how about that little character relation? didn't even cross my mind, but looking back I see it now. __________________

It was an amazing episode. I loved, first of all, that Gibbs trusted his team to handle things while he took care of his friend. I agree it was just about the most emotional we've ever seen Gibbs. Spano as a totally broken Fornell was superb. Now let him grow what's left of his hair back That totally bald look doesn't work well for him. Am I the only one that was shocked that Anton was in on the deal at the end? I was really surprised. And, finally, look at how big Fornell's daughter got. Last time I remember seeing her was in an episode where some prison escape forced Gibbs/Fornell to reopen his case.

It was nice that Emily Fornell came to Gibbs to help, help her father. You saw he had gotten drunk and was arrested. It was nice her and Uncle Gibbs had a nice moment.
You would think a summit on Global Terrorism could be guarded better? Even have it in a military base? The one picture of Fornell sharpening his knife, if you look at the stump, it comes up through the floor. That is a nice location shoot. I also liked the line,:"Him and Gibbs are practically Golf buddies!" (Can't remember who said it). But Gibbs replay,"I don't Golf!" It was classic. I knew it was coming. Gibbs and Fornell make a good odd couple. I enjoyed the episode where Fornell stayed at Gibbs house. Gibbs fishing and Fornell not liking it was cute. You could see Fornell was cleaning up quickly. Nice fresh mountain air. I liked the Fornell turmoil over Diane and the argument. Also Gibbs working through his angst. I worried when Russian Counselor Anton Povlenko told Sergei Mishnev where Gibbs was. But after finding out that Povlenko was in on Gibbs plans, I said he was lucky Mishnev didn't take him out to eliminate evidence, that he was going after Gibbs. But after letting Gibbs get away 2 times, he had his sniper sights on Gibbs when Diane was killed, and after Gibbs choked him in the apartment, I wondered if Sergei was here to kill Gibbs or maybe just takeout Fornell to further torment Gibbs? Right under Gibbs nose? BUt anyway it seemed he got overzealous. He rushed in and found Fornell, but didn't think to closely where Gibbs could be. Asking Fornell where Gibbs was should have lit a light bulb that he might be near and Sergei may now be in trouble. I wondered when Gibbs took the load of wood to the cabin, why he put that bigger log against the doorway. Fornell started to split wood,he was in rough shape. It was nice that Fornell got to pull the trigger. Nice shot right between the eyes. I was surprised Sergei didn't take his chances and run. Even without bullets (he didn't know the gun wasn't loaded...yet)he could have possibly gotten away or gotten the upper hand. I was surprised that he went on this job alone. He should have hidden behind something before he tried his pistol. We didn't find out who helped Sergei when Gibbs rushed his apartment room and shot all but Sergei and the guy that knocked Gibbs out. That was in "Check". So maybe he was just a hired goon. And that after that job Sergei let him go? I also saw in the New York Post a cancer fight advertisement with Mark Harmon, and it said: "I am my own secret weapon" Mark Harmon stands up to cancer in new PSA - CBS News Last edited by webruce; 03-06-2015 at 10:42 PM Reason: delete extra info. |

Am I really now only two episodes behind? I think that's another sign that there are too many breaks in the US
Gibbs & Fornell . Even Gibbs & Emily are pretty good (still love that she calls him 'Uncle Gibbs') but love Gibbs taking care of Fornell. Poor Fornell though . Drinking would only be making him feel so much worse & even more depressed it is probably making him blame himself even more too. They all played their parts really well, especially Joe . I like their fishing scenes "Ok which one of you wants to be Gibbs, Gibbs, Gibbs, Gibbs..." Abby I'd already read the spoilers to know the family connection but I'm really not sure on it. It seems like a stretch & like they're trying to get a connection to Ziva still without mentioning her directly. It feels like they're grasping at straws hoping the small connection to Ziva will satisfy fans who miss her since they can't give us her . On the other hand it is all brilliant & well done & still an amazing show so why am I complaining? Sergei really is silly for going in alone, he got what he deserved. Love that Fornell got to pull the trigger & get some revenge/closure. Gibbs would understand that so I'm sure that's why he was the one who killed him not Gibbs. Looks like he was shot in the same place as Diane (so Kate) which is interesting, especially given that Ari killed Kate. Also just realised that the half brothers both killed people Gibbs cared about the same way I like how when Vance is saying goodnight to Gibbs you could see in the background Sergei being crossed out on the wanted wall I loved the ep Quote:

Yup too many breaks here Chelle! That's good you are only 2 episodes behind though.
