A pretty powerful tribute to WWII. And Pearl Harbor. It really got Gibbs in a way we haven't seen in a long long time.

It wasn't meant to be the season finale. But it was actually the perfect way to honor that era...

Given the other wars NCIS has touched on before. I was surprised it took this long to mention Pearl Harbour.

agree with that.

yes, it got to gibbs, but I think he wasn't the only one. all the others watching joe's outburst were shocked too. it just got a bit more to him, because he had served too and knew what joe was talking about.

christopher lloyd did a great job.
it was so heart-wrenching hearing him describe what had happened to him that day. all the horror these people had lived through.

Although I don't buy Bishop wouldn't know more than she appeared to know about Pearl Harbour until she did the research given how she liked to know things. Although I can buy that she would forget, and when you're spur of the moment quizzed like that, it's easy to freeze.

Still it showed the difference among the youngish who are too young to really get December 7th, and the older. And those who would get the sacrifice of war, Gibbs has a lot of wounds of what he's experienced, personal and professional. And given his memories of his own father who battled how own battles with war.

He couldn't help but be affected. It was a powerful scene. For all of them and made them want to prove Joe's story all the more. Especially Vance.

I loved the episode.

It's been quite sometime since I got emotional during a case-of-the-week... But something about the ww (I & II) always gets me...

I think they wanted to honour Pearl Harbour with a fitting episode and not just because...

Really enjoyed this episode. It was a great tribute to WW2 and Pearl Harbor. I was a bit surprised that Ellie & Nick knew so little about it, but I suppose that was a good device for the brief history lesson. Loved seeing Christopher Lloyd and thought he did an excellent job with the character. It was nice seeing Gibbs connect with Joe.

I have always loved that NCIS does these tribute episodes. Shining the light on little details that you wouldn't have expected. Given the show has been going on for 17 years, the fact they hadn't touched on Pearl Harbour was surprising.

But as was said and even the the show said, they wanted the right story. And given there so few left who survived The Arizona still living. It made it more poignant that this man wanted his service to mean something, and to be able to go the grave under his own name, with his brothers.

Christopher Lloyd is younger than the character but he was probably the only one who give the right amount of depth to the character. He made you believe the character.

It was the perfect ending to the season, even if it wasn't intending...

And they also touched on the heroism of the newer generation with the medal.

The show still has a capacity to get you. Even after 398 episodes.

But she also realized that she didn't know enough about the subject that's why she started to look everything & anything...

Very powerful and poignant episode. Quite a fitting 'final' episode to the season even if it wasn't mean to be the final one. A shame there was just a couple of episodes left to film before the pandemic hit. Christopher Lloyd was phenomenal.
