He's done that a lot in the past. He's called himself NCIS and then later on it is back to detective. Others have introduced him as both as well.

there is a possibility that this whole thing with AI might get him to change over, but you never know.

just wondering about that. I read the TVline article about it and it said that this is the first time he's been on this show.......wasn't he part of the crossover in season 1?

I am pretty sure it was McGee that went with Gibbs back then. I think Tony wanted to go, but Gibbs chose McGee because of the high tech stuff.
