Can I just say... Thank God! Hunter's gone and Hetty's back!

I think the switch of partners - no matter how much it annoyed them and me - at least made them respect their actual partners and gave us a couple funny lines.

Interesting storyline.

I loved the switching partners, I think it loosened the team up, they were sorta set in their ways, only working with their partners. But it also showed why they work best with their regular partners (like Deeks being able to handle Kensi's driving but Callen can't)

I wouldn't really say that it showed why they work best with their regular partners. Callen not being able to handle Kensi's driving only told me that it's been a while since he partnered with her, and that while he likes to drive fast himself (I may be wrong here, but wasn't Sam complaining about Callen's driving last season?), he likes being the one behind the wheel.

Do they work well with their regular partners? Yes. But this episode only ground the fact that they do need to mix the partnerships up ocassionally. It pointed out a weakness in the team, the fact that not all of them work as well together as the esteblished partners. We know Kensi works well with both Callen and Sam, and she trusts them, the first two seasons showed us that. Deeks, on the other hand needs to learn to work better with Callen and Sam as well, not just Kensi. While within the team they have their regular partnerships, they are still a team. I don't see the same level of trust between Sam and Deeks of Deeks and Callen, as I do between say, Sam and Callen. True, the latter two have been working together for a while now, but team work doesn't depend on the just the strength of indivisual partnerships, but on the collective whole.

Simillarly with Kensi. I love Deeks, I do. But I also miss the days we got to see her interact with Sam and Callen. Sam, who treated her like a younger sister, and Callen, who shares her similar history. Having these partenships are great, but they also lessen the amount of interaction we see between other possible partnerships.

Kensi and Callen worked with in the past and I loved when they went together to investigate.

I confess I am CaKe and not Densi, although I believe that gets Kensi and Deeks at the end.

I hope sometimes mix partners. I think that there must always be mix of partner. Type 4 or 5 episodes in the season. I love Sam and Callen together. But wanted to see more often Callen with Kensi and Callen & Deeks.

I really ended up liking the partner switch. It shook things up.

I think it's part of both when it comes to the partnerships - it shows why they work well together but also the flaws in not switching things up like that more often.

So glad Hunter is gone and that Hetty is back.
