That's a great list, Chelle. I agree with all your points. but #1 is particularly important, IMHO. Too often, in fact, almost invariably, whenever sexual tension erupts into an actual relationship on a show, the show goes south and gets cancelled. Likely, that's because part of the allure of the show is that tension. But those were show leads. Putting Abby and McGee together would not have the same impact, I don't think.

Nope. They don't need to focus on them or their relationship as they aren't the ones leading the show. NCIS has a number of main characters who they take turns focusing on so I don't think that them having a relationship would take away from that or change that. Then since Abby isn't a part of the main team they wouldn't constantly have scenes together or be working together where their relationship may get in the way. It would only be when McGee gets sent down to work with or talk to Abby & since that rarely seems to happen lately (at least compared to the early seasons) I don't think it has to come into it

Exactly, and it wouldn't even conflict with Gibbs' rule against co-workers dating. They interact, but they are not part of the core team.

Yes & no. They're both dating other people so their moments aren't as special imo. I don't think they really have that many scenes together without others being in the room with them
For me this has been their best moment (at least from the episodes I've seen) __________________
