I don't think he ever really appreciated her or loved her and Rose knew that. It was different with Jack. Jack never really cared whether she had money or not, he just loved Rose for who she was. Both of them seemed incredibly passionate

Agree with you, Fatima, about Jack and Rose and their relationship. Much more honest, loving, and real. Glad those two met, however brief they were.

Actually, I expected him to have a bad ending, but not that bad... He committed suicide in the 1920s, during the recession. He was always living for the money, so, I'm not feeling sorry for him dying because of the money. I do feel sorry for him, considering that he would go on living a different way of life, with less money. Money isn't worth dying for it...

I do agree with Fatima, as well. They had known each other for only a few days, and they seemed ready to spend the rest of their lives together. Only if the ship hadn't sunk...

It seems money was the one thing he cared about. The diamond, he thought cash could save him from the Titanic when it was sinking.

I'm glad they had Rose tell us what happened to him, I would have been really curious.

I admit that I think that's really fast, not sure how often that happens to people.
