Yeah, I wasn't aware of that.

I wondered about the name Asplund, so I looked her up. Her family was of Swedish decent, but she herself was born in the US.

R.I.P. Ms. Dean

I know! I was thinking that I could watch it again soon because school ends... tomorrow.

Thank you that for the tidbit. I do wonder what they did to get to such an age.

I wanted to visit Ellis Island when we were in N.Y 3 years ago, but the queue was too long, so we didn't bother. Would have been neat, though. I wouldn't mind going to Halifax, either...

Awww I went to the Titanic exhibit here in orlando when I still lived down in Flt. Lauderdale...they have this thing u go through the weather & stuff that they sort of went through...man it was cold & they give u a name of a real passenger. & at the end u find out if u lived or died. My person lived I have a shirt from there too...so I guess I am a Titanic nerd too

Rose, I think that Kate should've won the oscar for this movie she was the best in it and it was her greatest role in my opinion.

yeh i think so to CrazyKimmie Rose was such a strong character (i also think leo should have got something)

awww that sounds like fun Jess im glad your person lived lol

i think im going to have to say this story-one time we were in London for a Titanic exibition and we were staying there for a few says so we thought we'd have a go

So we went it was really interesting with lots of artifacts ect but it was sooooo hot in the building it was dreadful and what do i decide to do....blackout lol in front of everyone in the exhibit and had to be carried lol it was one of the embarrassing moments of my life

and we never got to see the rest of the exhibition hehe

Sounds like a great and interesting experience, Jess.

Yeah, Kate should have won for the role. I was extremely disappointed that she didn't... and I have disliked Helen Hunt forever since that day.. Sad, but true.

I feel the same way about Hilary Swank. Kate should've gotten the award for ESOTSM.

I think her stand-in in the bottom pic was Norwegian... I remember reading that while the whole Titanic thingy was going on. There was an article in a Norwegian magazine or paper or whatever...

Love the top one. Gotta save it.
