I have seen a few different versions of S&S, each having a different actress playing Marianne. Kate was always the most convincing to me. I cannot say which is closest to the character in the novel, because I've never read it, but Kate just seemed the most convincing to me. She's spirited and a bit dramatic but not overwhelmingly so.

Kate's performance is the dictionary definition of passion :nod:
