Well, you know they had no money left... Perhaps she went on with her life, thinking that she had lost her daughter, and feeling sorry for it... And perhaps she did become a seamstress after all... Or she remarried with a rich man close to her age.

Yes, Those are the two possibilites: seamstress or remarried someone rich, you know. Would have interesting to explore and little and you know, what Rose did right after she got off of the ship...like what did she do? How did she live until she married Calvert, etc? You know what I mean? That part would have been interestng to explore, for sure!
