The 1st Kate Movie Viewing Party Thread







What better way to watch a Kate movie then watching a Kate movie with Kate fans This thread is dedicated to all of us getting together to have viewing parties of Kate's various movies. Its another way for all of us to get to know each other and discuss our thoughts and opinions on Kate's movies.

This was brought up on a few threads, so I also started this so we don't get off topic and that way we can discuss everything in one place. Since Kate is so internationally loved, a lot of us are on different time zones so this thread can be a place we can all collectively decide what is the best way for us to have our first viewing party.

Some things to think about:

What time country/time zone you are in?
What movie you would like to watch first?(something that a lot of us have or have access too )
When to have it?

I would love for us to maybe do our first viewing party on a weekend? Like May 2nd or 3rd?

Lizie Im so bad at math, so we are all going to have to work together on the time zone thing. I think ur 5 hours a head of me

I either have those or can get access to most of those. If we watched Titanic it would have to be done like Part 1 & 2 because its so long

I think the Holiday would be a great first movie to watch but Im up for anything

Thats all I remember for now Anytime is good for me though Id prefer it if it werent on a Sunday for me cause our weekends are Fridays and I have classes all day sunday

i can saturday night or sunday night actually i can do most evenings during the day im more busy at the moment as im on my last term at uni

I'm available pretty much every night, except when I'm outta town, like now. Next weekend works fine for me.

Okay so maybe we can coordinate a good time for everyone on a Saturday when we can all make it based on time zones? Ill even wake up early to watch it with all of you, and thats love right there

Since everyone seems to be open up to which movie we watch first I was thinking maybe The Holiday? A lot of Kate fans seem to like that one, & its not too long

The Holiday? I dont have that one yet but Ive been wanting to see it for a while so Ill check and see if any of my friends have it Saturday seems good

Sheida! You will like it...such a great movie, and refreshing seeing Kate in a romantic comedy

The Holiday sounds good for a first showing. For the next one though I would prefer we pick one of her films that's not getting a lot of love on this board like Enigma or Quills.

That's the main problem right there. Figuring out a time zone. May 2nd sounds perfect for the first showing I think. Are we doing this weekly or bi monthly?

Where do we all live again? Currently in Germany it's 4:43 AM on a Sunday while in New York it's 10:43 PM on a Saturday wherein Australia it's around noon. I think we should have two different viewings. One on Saturday and one on Sunday. Otherwise it's going to end up a crazy 4 in the morning scheduling time for somebody.
