Just to point out, there are two S&S threads, but this one is for the movie appreciation and the other is a character appreciation.
I do love this movie. It's on TV all the time here and Kate was a superb choice for the role! |

I can never get tired of the book!
The way they speak is just so respectable and intelligent. Too bad things are not like that now. |

Melika, I agree. It's too bad that people don't talk like that anymore. Sometimes it's very disrespectful.

^^ It really is.
I also don't like how when some Literary companies release the books and have someone edit it. I like the unabridged version, which is the original that Jane Austen wrote it. If it's edited, that means, that the company thought pretty much that we would be too stupid to understand the old English so they change it. I find that insulting. |

Well because simple words were spelled differently like the word "chance" was spelled "chanse"
So they thought people wouldn't understand it as well with the old spelling of words, so there are edited versions released. |

Some words aren't being used anymore or not very often. Company's automatically think that people won't understand it. And if you don't understand, it's okay. But you can grab a dictionary and look for the meaning of the word. The language that Jane Austen used should preserved.

^^ I agree.
That's why when you pick up a Jane Austen book, or any classic for that matter, if it says "Unabridged" you're getting the original as it was meant to be! |

It is one of my favorite books and there have been many movie adaptations as well, but this one with Kate is the best!
