I've read that a thousand times already, I've learned it by heart.

Can we just focus on Cal and Rose?

I will

And i loved the acting in this scene! Kate captured Rose's discomfort perfectly! is great! It really shows how men were back in that time, and how trapped Rose really was!

It's a shame this didn't get put in...it's amazing!

Thanks!!

And it really does doesn't it? It's good acting from both Billy and Kate, I agree with you.

(Maggie'd better not analyse this...)

I love how Billy didn't play Cal as this Disney-villain guy, but instead he portrayed him like most rich men of that era. It's such a disappointment that he didn't get any further recognition for that, truly...

Billy's such a good actor, and he does not get enough credit I think to be honest. I'm with you on the fact that he portrayed Cal like the rich Edwardian men of that era. Research was sure done well there.

His and Kate's characters were the most well-researched and complex-written characters of the movie As good of a person as Jack was, he was too flat of a character I think...

THANK THE GOOD LORD THAT YOU BOTH AGREE BILLY DESERVED MORE CREDIT!

Also, I have to agree, Jack was great character, but he was ery simple, a cliche if you will. He's the knight that rides up on his noble steed and saves the damsel in distress. Too common for me. That's why Iprefer Cal and Rose's characters in this film, there's so much to them

And yes, amazing acting from both of them! They had great chemistry.

Yes I agree about Rose and Cal, both very complex characters, well researched too. Jack was a good character too, he was likable to me.

But this thread is for Rose and Cal so I think Billy got it bang on right to be honest with Cal, same for Kate/Rose too.

Maggie, I've always thought it! Billy's a damn good actor.

Kate and Billy both captured thier characters perfectly! I always thought Billy's facial expressions were on point...especailly his eyebrows. I love his eyebrows

But can you just imagine the research they had to do?? Must have been crazyyyy. Historic accuracy was a must

I heard that Kate sat down and wrote Rose's background before going up there to play her... But she needed to do sooooooo much research it's crazy..

True! It would have taken a lot of research to get it exactly right. The mannerisms and everything really. Reading too I guess. I can imagine Kate would have had to done that yes.

His facial expressions are good too yes!
