Great adaptation!!!!
Only thing that bothered me a bit how quick they made everything. I mean time wise. I would want to see some scens more elaborated or sth. But then again not enough time in movie I would make separef movie just from cave scene itself

YES! I'm all for that! Some people complain that they skipped Katniss tricking him into drinking that sleeping syrup but honestly I think they did a really great job with that scene, even if they left some stuff out. The most important part was her risking her life to get that medicine for him.

Yeah time wise it was difficult, the movie lasted a bit over 2 hours and I think they wanted to put all the important parts from the book - from when they were picked through the train ride - that was really short in the movie - and the training to the arena and them winning. It seemed very rushed but it's understandable.

Also the guy who played Seneca Crane was the same guy who played that weird camera neighbour in American Beauty.

Pretty much. And the next movie is onlycoming out in November 2013! I'm curious who they are going to cast as Finnick and Johanna. People on tumblr have their dreamcasts. But some dreamcasts are just laughable, especially if they suggest actors form Glee.

I think they've done awesome job fitting as many important things as they could within the time they had. Did I miss some scens? Sure. But after few book adaptations (look) this one was perfect!
I think it was great for people who actually haven't read the books. Well done. Story, cast, everything.

I try not to think about the cast too much. I had my dream cast for othe books and it sucked when it didnt happen and was dissapointed b4 even watchin such movie.
Besides the movie/cast is so freakishly positive it's hard to imagine not liking whoever they choose for Finnick or Johanna.
Well with Johanna we know after Kimmel that KBell would herself like to play her dont see it happening, but still find that funny.

Thinking of glee cast in it (or any tvshow actors) only because you like that show seems like ridicules idea to me.

Exactly. Compared to some other book adaptations this one is flawless. Most of the times the adaptations just flatten the story - like they did with PS I love you or Lovely Bones. Those adaptations just didn't capture the essence of the books and were not as emotional as the books.

Kbell's obsession with the books is cute! And LOL at Dax and the almost 40 part.

Whoever they are going to choose to play Finnick and Johanna, I just hope for a good performance.

Exactly. It's kinda scary how many people want their favourite tv starts to play Finnick just because they like them on a tv show. Most of those suggestions are just cringe worthy. So far the only suggestion that I could get behind is Garrett Hedlund. People even suggested Zac Efron. Most of the actors suggested seem too young imo. Finnick is only 24 but he can't look too young, he is 24 but carries a lot of pain and grief, he needs to look experienced.

We have to wait for so long! It's unfair, I want them all now! And it's funny how I'll be around 30 when the 3rd movie comes out.

I think GH would be great as Finnick. ZE, tho... I mean I'm sure he' older now, but Im not sure if he could pull it off. Whoever they choose have to give great performance, like u said, not just a pretty face.

I decided to order the books in English on Amazon and re-read the series in English.

I just hate that the cinema tickets are so expensive. On weekends I pay 27 PLN.
