I need to get a new driver's license today. I've lost mine. Not for the first time may I add. Sigh.

Aww, good luck getting a new license, Ele. I always hate dealing with the department of motor vehicles here in the States. Hopefully they're more efficient in Germany because they're a pain to deal with in the US.

Blerg. I hate Mondays. I'm tired.
And the only good thing about my Mondays was sadly missing today.

I agree that Mondays are the worst. What was the one good part that was missing, Carolyn?

The cute guy from my class ditched the afternoon. It's not as much fun when I don't have something pretty to look at.

I was off today. I'm back at work tomorrow though.

I lose stuff like I.D.'s, credit cards, etc., all the time. I've gotten a lot better, but I still lose things.

I saw "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs". It was cute.

Aww, did you recognize Lauren Graham in it? She died before the credits lol.

The driver's license in the US expires, right?

I completely understand. There are some classes that you need the eye candy to be able to get through it.

I wasn't sure how I felt about the possibility of "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" being turned into a movie. I read the book as a kid, and I thought it was weird that they could create a feature-length film from it. Still, I guess if they can do that with "Where The Wild Things Are," then they can do that with anything. I'm glad to hear it was cute, though!

Yep, driver's licenses in the US expire. I've still got a few years on mine, but I'm not looking forward to when I have to replace it.

Sad but true, sad but true. Especially because I'm always so tired on Mondays, and he helps to keep me awake by being goofy.

Class again. But there are no cute guys in this one.

Do you have to take a test for it? Normal driver's licenses never expire here, that's why I'm asking.

Thanks Ele. Hopefully I will see him before that. Usually on Thursdays.

All this talk about licenses made me check mine. It expires in a year and a half.

You have to take a test when you first get your license, but after you pass that (usually around when you're 16), you don't have to take a test to get it renewed. You just have to go to the DMV and take the vision test to make sure your eyesight hasn't gotten worse. It's just a pain to have to go to the DMV because they're always extremely slow and inefficient.

Aww, that's sad you have to wait until Thursday, Carolyn. Oh well. I'm jealous that you have something like that to make your Mondays better.

I enjoy having crushes, they give me something to look forward to and incentive to go to class, so really, its a win win.

Right now I'm in my anthro class. And kind of tired.

My last visit to the DMV was surprisingly painless and not too slow.

Ele, I didn't recognize Lauren's voice. Probably, b/c I arrived a little late and was spastically looking to see where I put my 3D glasses. So I was only paying half attention. I saw her name in the credits. The kid who played Tracy Jr. on 30 Rock did a voiceover in it too.

Lynn, I read the book when I was a kid too. But I don't remember it that well. Mainly they focused on the town rather than the part about the grandfather telling the kids about the town. I wasn't sure they could make it a movie either, but I think they did a good job.

It's been eons since I've had a crush. Like on a real guy. I think that part of me has just died or something.

I never got why you can drive cars but not drink properly.

Aww too bad. I thought her character just looked like her.

Are you girls planning to see the Michael Jackson movie? I'm going with my mom. We're both big Michael Jackson fans. There was a docu about him last Sunday and we watched it during lunch, our heads banging with the music while we were eating, my dad just rolled his eyes lol.
