Cutbacks 4.09.09 Episode Description What should be excitement over the 50th episode of TGS turns to fear when Jack announces budget cuts and layoffs. Liz realizes she needs to do some negotiating to save jobs, while Kenneth takes on extra responsibility, causing Jenna and Tracy to question his integrity. __________________

Sounds good.
I wonder what happens that Jenna and Tracy question Kenneth's integrity. __________________

Yeah that bit struck me as odd. I'm wondering the same thing.

I'm so excited for this episode! It sounds like it has potential to be a good one.

I liked this episode! Not my favorite of the season, but definitely good. So much hilarity, though! Liz participating in "sexual espionage." And I enjoyed the Kenneth/Tracy/Jenna storyline tonight. Anytime we get to see Jenna and Tracy working together, it's a good time. Poor Ken, getting his bird killed. At least Tracy and Jenna made it up to him in the end, though.
I was sad to see Jonathan go for this episode, but I get the feeling that he'll be back soon enough. I love Jonathan, so he better be back. So now Liz is suspended for 2 weeks. I have to wonder how she's going to take it. I'm guessing not well, but I can't wait to see it. I'm glad, though, that the TGS budget ended up in the right hands in the end (Jack's). And, because there were so many good ones this week, some quotes: Liz: I have tricks up my sleeve. Jack: That's my girl. Liz: No, really, I've got the cereal Trix up my sleeve. Jenna: You told Tracy that he couldn't go into your bedroom, so naturally we assumed you were a serial killer. Kenneth: Looks like I've got some naming to do! Lorne... Michael... __________________

Tonight's ep was just awesome! So funny.
Poor Ken trying to be Jack's assistant! Of course that wasn't going to work out! What was Jack thinking? At least maybe Johnathon will get his job back. I missed him tonight. And seeing Jack fire everyone was funny too! And then that smarmy old lady trying to bribe him with sexual favors! And that guy taking his belt off! And poor Liz trying to seduce a guy into 'sexual espionage". Awesome! Getting all crazy and then that butterfly clip and the really big hair! "You look hot in those pants". Poor Ken. Trying to get into his new job and then has Tracey and Jenna kill his bird! At least they got him new ones. He was very excited about all that naming! Quotes: "We're not behind the times, we're groovy!" ~ guy from the 'Boombox division "Kenneth! Get me Showtime!" "WHAT?! Why now???" "Mr.Donaghy, I thought you'd want to know that there is a spider on the printer!" "Well, Kenneth, see, you told Tracey to not go into your bedroom, so naturally we assumed you were a serial killer! So we went into your room and as you can imagine, your bird is dead." "Get me a makeup artist! No, the ****ty one!" "Birds are like tiny dinosaurs, so what I'm doing is interesting and brave." __________________

I liked this episode.
-Trix up my sleeve. -Lutz asking for a cookie when the food was gone. -Liz imitating the iPhone presentations with TGS. -Jenna and Tracy "teaming up". I'm glad they finally did the right thing. -Everyone referencing "The Pelican Brief". -It was nice seeing Roger Bart. I don't think I've seen him in anything besides Desperate Housewives. -Kenneth has a *really* nice apt. for someone who works an entry level job in a big American city. -It was nice to see a bit of Pete. __________________

I really liked the episode. It wasn't my favourite one this season but it was definitely a good one.
Kenneth switching on and off his two faces with his hand made me giggle. That's so him. I didn't really buy the whole don't go into my bedroom/serial killer storyline but it was okay. Another thing I didn't really like was the fact that Liz's storyline ended with the sex date, it was too predictable but now Liz leads even more in the 2009 Jack/Liz sex list lol. And what was Jenna's show called? Hushed rapes? I've to watch it again. __________________

Loved it. Not the best, but definitely better than others this season.
One of the things I love about the show is that they're not afraid to make the characters truly despicable people sometimes (that sounds kind of bad, but you catch my drift), how they made it so Liz ended up getting away with her sexual-bartering attempt, whereas most shows would just end it with her getting in trouble. And idk if they sex date was really predictable, I mean even though Liz has gotten quite a bit of sex this year (much more than normal for her, at least), well all know that Liz and sex usually do not mix, so for her to actually have gone through with it is a big deal imo. I especially loved the end, when Kenneth was naming the birds, and was all "Pat! Balthazar! Lorne! Michael!" __________________

This popped up on my friends list on LJ the day after this ep aired. Kind of funny.
I don't know if it's true or an urban legend: Quote:

LOL.
I mean, it's sad that she died, but LOL. The show should totally use it as a storyline. Have someone on the crew get sick (not die, of course, but sick), and then have them trace it back to the cans, and have Liz be all like "IF YOU HAD JUST LET US KEEP THE FREAKING STRAWS..." __________________
