Official Description

The CW has released the official (spoiler-filled) description of the upcoming 3nd episode of Season 9 of "Smallville". Titled "Rabid", this episode is scheduled to air in the U.S. at 8.00pm on Friday, October 9th on The CW.

The CW's Official Description (Posted 9/18/09):

ZOD UNLEASHES A VIRUS INTO METROPOLIS — Zod (Callum Blue) and his soldiers release a virus into the air that turns humans into zombies. The only way to stop it is to make an antidote from the blood of another Kryptonian. After Lois (Erica Durance) is infected, Chloe (Allison Mack) pleads with Clark (Tom Welling) to donate his blood to stop the epidemic, even though it risks outing him to Zod. Posted on KryptonSite.

OMG. The Clois rain hug was just.....so romantic and classic. Their best hug yet.

And the end farmhouse scene? Guh. I love Clark grabbing her arm when she was going to "punch" him. So clear that he doesn't want to be her friend. But something more.

Oh my god. That was....I have no words.

Lemme get this out straight away: the rain scene is now my ultimate #1 Clois moment. Like....ever.

When I first watched it I barely noticed anything because I was like, "Touching! There's touching!"

When I watched it the second time I cried. Don't care how sappy this sounds. That was the most beautiful, romantic, epic, emotional scene I have ever seen. It looked like it was out of a movie because it was SO theatrical and cinematic. I already gave Louis kudos for the score because my god was it perfect. The music was perfect! Clark was so worried and all he could do was hold onto her for dear life and tell her she'll be okay. And when Lois finally came back to herself she was so shaky and emotional. Durance killed me there. The way he brushed her hair out of her face, the tenderness in their eyes, the way they stared at each other's lips... and then the hug. And then the sun shines through the rain and down on Lois and Clark as they hug.

Even a long time Clana fan at KSite came out and said that that scene was amazingly powerful and beautiful and that they're finally feeling Clois.

Speaking of Clana: that was the perfect closure and Clois contrasted Clana and Lollie. Ollie kept a pic of Lois in his wallet because he hasn't let go yet. Clark took Lana's pic OUT of his wallet and closed the book. Then Lois walks through the door and tells him that she does NOT want to know his secret because he needs to keep some mystery to himself. As opposed to the secreths and lieths crap that Lana always pulled.

Just...thank you, writers. Durance said she wanted them to show why Clark would choose Lois over anyone. They've done an amazing job with showing exactly that in Rabid.

My god, Smallville. Who are you and where the hell have you been all these years.
