Here's the second poll, which isn't a poll per se, since it has so many choices, but more of a discussion starter. I know it's hard And there were a lot of scenes to factor in, but we thought we'd give people as many choices as we can. So let's have fun with it!

Thanks for the new poll Ray! My vote goes to the Stiletto phonecall scene. As I've posted before there's a reason that scene won best scene overall at the K-site awards this year. Clark contacting Lois as his alter-ego was a huge moment in Smallville history and I'm glad they did it justice with the nods to the Superman movies ("Ms. Lane" &"Can you read my mind"), and their reactions to each other during this scene. I love how Clark did it only to make to Lois happy and to reassure her of her journalistic talent, and how Lois surprised Clark in turn by letting him know that she just wanted to be a friend to him and by asking him what he wanted and what he needed, instead of demanding something from him. Lastly their smiles during that scene were great and I love how happy they make each other. Love isn't supposed to be all pain and sorrow and angst, it's also supposed to be about hope and trust and putting the other person's needs ahead of your own and making each other happy and I felt like Lois and Clark displayed all of this in this scene.

Looking back on all of S8, I'll have to go with:

Stiletto - The Breakfast Scene

A few months back it was the soulmate talk, but yeah, that changed, because of this:

And this is something that just comes across in this scene. Lois and Clark are so natural around each other, totally at ease, they smile, they laugh, they're upbeat, they're honest.

One thing I'd always loved about Lois & Clark back then is how the show always ended on a happy note. And Clois are the only couple on SV that brings that feeling, too. But now on to the scene itself.

After Clark took the bullet for Lois, I was wondering how they'd wrap that up in the end. And it was perfect. The way Lois ate humble pie and desperately tried to say 'thank you' without saying it was very cute. And I love how Clark just watches her rambling on and on with that bemused smile on his face. And I love how he fakes pain just to watch her squirm. See, Clark never does these little things with anyone else. I've read people (read: haters) call it 'immature'. If that's what they call 'fun' these days, I hope Clark will be even more immature next season.

Lois: After walking a mile in Stiletto shoes I was reminded that I'm not cut out for that life of solitude.
Clark: [smirks] I didn't know there was room for introspection underneath that costume.

And how people call that sexist is beyond me. Clark is not a priest, he's a man. The guy needs to stop taking the world so seriously and taking himself so seriously. If he wants to tease Lois for how tight her costume was, then let him! What's not to like about that comment? It's HOT! And that smirk!

Swoooooooooon!

So yeah. Definitely up there for me.

I'm curious...how was the Breakfast scene heartbreaking? If anything it was one of the lighter scenes in the second half of the season

It's difficult to choose from the 2 scenes in Stiletto, but I think I'll go with the Breakfast Scene, just because in the phone call scene Lois doesn't know it's Clark she's talking to. Anyway, that breakfast scene seriously left me weak on my knees. There was just too. much. flirting. I was surprised at the amount of it. And don't get me started on the eyesex!

I think Nora's post puts perfectly into words why I love that scene so so much. And yes, that comment about the costume was HOT.
