I love it that Joel is still looking out for her. I also like it that Joel seemed to be a bit uncomfortable about Maggie and Alex finding out about it. He's definitely still into Alex

I liked how he kept checking up on her and was visibly upset when he saw her crying in the exam room. His voice actually softens when she's emotional.
