め E r i c a D u r a n c e was born on June 21 1978 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to a truck driver and a librarian.
She was raised on a turkey farm along with her older brother and sister in the town of Three Hills, Alberta. Durance moved to Vancouver,
British Columbia after attending school to pursue a career in entertainment. She made her way into show business by appearing in low-budget films
and on several primetime TV shows.

❂ Her C a r e e r
Early in her career, Durance guest-starred on "The Chris Isaak Show", "Tru Calling" & "Stargate SG-1". She made her feature film-starring debut in "The Butterfly Effect 2"
and landed her breakthrough television role after being cast as Lois Lane on "Smallville." She became a favorite amongst comic book lovers and fan boys who voted her to the top of lists
such as Netscape's "Sexiest Sci-Fi Babes" and EW's "Sci-Fi Hotties of 2009." In 2011, the same year "Smallville" wrapped production, Durance was nominated for Choice Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi at the
Teen Choice Awards. She is currently the lead in the hit CTV medical drama, Saving Hope.

I'm so thrilled that Erica's board is celebrating 200,000 posts! It's such an awesome achievement. Erica is a really amazing lady - friendly, witty, sincere, talented, beautiful, and so brilliant with her fans. Her acting is remarkable too, and I love how versatile she is. She totally embraces and embodies each character she portrays and really makes them her own. I got into her through Smallville, and was so blown away by her character and acting straight away. I also love her and Tom's scenes very much. Their onscreen chemisty and offscreen friendship is so special.

I feel so proud to be a part of this amazing board. Everyone is so warm and welcoming and the wonderful, friendly people here really make this board a joy to post on. It's a real posting haven with such awesome, friendly and helpful mods - Ray and Rach. This board is such a fun place to be too. Unfortunately I'm not able to post as much as I'd like to, or join in many threads, but nevertheless I always feel comfortable posting because everyone is always so lovely and understanding.

I really hope this fantastic board will still be around many years from now.

I've recently started posting on the Erica Durance board and at first I was helping out with the post counts a bit. I have been a fan of Erica's for a while so, I thought that posting on the board would be fun and helpful. And boy, was I right .. I had such a great time posting on this lovely board that I just could not leave. I have enjoyed meeting new people that post on this board regularly and the mods here are super fantastic and do such an amazing job with the board {Rach and Ray} I'm so happy and enthused to come post on this board because I get to have wonderful discussions and appreciation posts about Erica and I get to post with fun people. And I'm so happy the board has been thriving for five years--here's to five more fun filled years at fan forum!

This board used to be my safe haven when Smallville was airing and Erica/Lois got so much hate from fans. Now that Smallville is over, it is the place I can count on to be able to talk everything Erica. It's one of my favourite boards to post on so there's no wonder why we've been around for 5 years and we've gotten to 200k in that time even with our small but awesome group of posters. Here's to many more years and many more posting milestones!

I cannot believe it's been 5 years already! We've truly experienced some "beautiful times" on this board together and I've enjoyed gushing with everyone about the awesomeness that is the Durance.
I think for most of us Erica's defining and most memorable role will probably always be Lois Joanne Lane and the first half of
