Great post Nora! The quotes you highlighted for both Lois and Clark were awesome They were so hilarious with their teasing and banter. I love the part about the kiss and how you described it.

Loved your review Rach! I also loved the callback to "Lois Lane's Rules of Reporting." I totally agree about the part that Clark is only now ready to be in a relationship with Lois. He had to grow up and go through all the things he did to be able to handle it. And I love the change and how bold he is with the way he went for what he wanted and nothing else mattered.

I gotta say first, when the episode started I thought it was still the adverts,

Little side-note before I start – I always grin seeing Co-exec Tom Welling at the start!

Chloe – I love Allison’s hair. I like that Chloe actually had her own story and she seems happy and she seemed to have more screen time than last week. In the scene when Chloe cracked her neck – I shuddered, how very Brainiac!

Chloe’s been in front of that PC allllllllll day, I love this moment:

“Talk to the hand”.
“Hello hand”.

Such a rookie mistake by Stuart.

I’m glad Chloe tells Clark to think of himself for a change.

Ollie – Now on first viewing I was too distracted by the Clois scene at the planet to pay any attention to the fight scene…I thought it was the Kandorians! I like Ollie, I like he has a story and isn’t depressed, but I just don’t care enough right now ‘cuz did you see the first two Clois scenes? Did you know they’re gonna kiss? Exactly!

Shirtless Ollie – that’s one way to get my attention in an Ollie scene, they could have done with this after a Clois scene!

“My friends helped me find a way out” – I think Ollie meant scared him half to death!

Tess – I love her dress. “When you say terminated you mean fired, right”? I love that Stuart knows Tess well enough that he needs to double check her meaning. I’m not convinced she’s above having him “terminated”! I love the Tess/Zod interaction and his speech sort of unnerves her and the scene when it’s just Tess and Zod (regarding the Blur’s identity) Cassidy rocked that scene, her subtle little facial expressions. And has Zod met his match? The moment he knows she got rid of the Kandorian, did she do it herself?


Clois - I love the first scene, Lois is very focused and really really doesn’t want to be there – at first when I saw the scene I was convinced that Clark’s tie was the one in Bride, until someone posted a photo and it is in fact grey, here I thought we had Jimmy in a Clois scene in spirit! Silly me. Did anyone else wonder what Lois was doing with her hands as soon as the scene started? The camera kinda pans across to her and her hands are off screen in the direction of Clark maybe she was fixing his tie. Clark was rather cute just sitting looking around himself.

“I bought a new tie”
“I bought a new outfit”



It is a testament to Lois that Clark went shopping…and again we missed it.

“Yeah you look great!”

I love that she’s sort of miffed that he’s complimenting her, just take it Lois.

“Lois I’m only doing this for you. How else am I going to get that second date”?

The little smile she does And I love the way she sort of holds his hands after being told it’s either both of them or none, sort of pleading.

I love that Clark is able to interpret Lois online dating questionnaire and Lois’ “I do love a six pack” and the glance at Clark. Just take off your shirt already Clark. We’ve almost waited an entire year!

How come Clark coldn’t think of something that would attract other guys to Lois? Oh that’s right – he doesn’t want any other guy around her. And that sort of jealous look on Clark’s face!

at the earpiece. And how evident is it that Lois is clearly still hurting over the whole Clark standing her up incident – she mentioned it twice. I love Lois’ reaction to Cat and her little snark: “You’re dating Mother Theresa in six inch heels” – the way her face falls in a sort of “oh no”.

I love the AOC scene…almost as much as the kiss, just the dialogue, how flirty Clois are being, Clark being somewhat suave and seductive.

I hate Ollie – not really. but Lois was about to answer an important question – the answers in my sig

The look Lois gives Clark through the camera on seeing Ollie was priceless.

There was some irony to the fact Ollie was trying to help Lois out on the date and wanting her to make an impression and really he just made things worse – and Clark was amused!

“You’re still in my heart”.
“Check please”.

Lois is wondering how all of this happened when Clark was about to ask her out, she wants to crawl into a hole and Clark’s wondering what is going on too. And poor Ollie.

I love the little kiss that Ollie gives her on the forehead and the emotion in his voice as he says “goodnight” – kudos to Justin!

I love the Clois marketing ad!

And then we have Lois in trouble, Mia’s the streetfighter but it’s Lois kicking ass first!

Best effect ever IMO – Clark reaching out for the bullet and seeing Ollie’s reflection on the bullet.

And OMG how close was that!

I still think Clark looks slightly pissed at Ollie, but to be fair he hasn’t told Ollie how he feels about Lois.

Poor Clark watching Lollie hug and thinking they may be together and Lois sort of has her first encounter with the Blur and didn’t end up unconscious – does she even know the Blur saved them?

And ah the kiss…shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

That was just, there are no words! Wonderful – okay maybe there are.
