That song is so heartbreaking. I love that it was Wendla's first [and only] moment that she got to stand up on her own against her mother.

I sob every time I see that number live.

I've only seen a few bootlegs of the show with Lea's Wendla but she knocked it out of the park each time. I know some people might not of liked her acting (even though I like her better in this than Glee) they can't say that she cannot sing.

Ive seen the show live just not with the OBC... But Ive seen the bootleg and really no one can compare with Leas "Whispering" Her voice is flawless in that number.

Lea's acting definitely improved over her run. I first saw the show when they were off-Broadway, and Lea was a little weak in the acting department, but she definitely grew into the role on Broadway.

Whispering is incredible .
