Only sad part, Leonard might not get to be there for the birth if hospitals are still as (understandably) strict as they are right now. Unless they do a home birth but I don't know if those are allowed in California.

A couple people I'm following on Instagram did home births in a kiddie pool with a midwife so their spouse could be there and to prevent any of those situations like "mom tests positive for covid and has to be separated from newborn for 2 weeks" or "newborn contacts covid in the ward and has to be isolated" situations. One of them was a labor and delivery nurse herself so she's familiar with what's normal and what's not during labor, but one of them wasn't.

A kiddie pool in the middle of the living room would make Sheldon crazy, even though he has nothing to say about it
I kind of like this idea as long as it's only the two of them with a midwife probably, to help Penny and to calm down Leonard.

See this just makes me want Frankie Bergstein to come and deliver Leonard and Penny's baby. Crossover event!

But yeah, there is certainly a lot of comedic potential in having a kiddie pool birth at 4A. Sheldon fretting about the sanctity of his spot and such.

It would be quite tragic if Leonard told Sheldon they needed towels but Bed Bath and Beyond was still closed

And haha I'm laughing at how when Bud and Allison's baby was coming the house Frankie was in was on lockdown.
