So many great posts!! I was reading and about to post in the previous thread and I got a "This thread is closed" message--ALREADY???

I just love all the sweetness and connection that can be inferred from these two episodes without anything being explicitly said between them.

There weren't any mushy, goo-goo-eyed moments between them--they didn't even have any scenes together in the 1st ep!--and yet it was full of confirmation and the underscoring of their bond.

To me, that "my sweet babboo" line means so much. I think that if she were free to kiss him (free in the sense that he still has issues), that's kind of a kissy term or thought. If they were more of a conventional couple, that could be something one would say just before a big smooch.

So I imagine her thinking of him that way--her sweet adorable boyfriend (I mean, come on--"babboo" is such a sweet term!)--her heart is full of love.

And while Sheldon doesn't say anything directly parallel, still, they're talking on the phone in the evening, connecting while she's out of town.

And while I don't really think of the bed bug discussion as being romantic--sorry, I just find it more like a Sheldon-ish over the top concern, like not wanting Penny's Typhoid Mary Nebraska germs in his apartment--still, I find it an adorable exchange between them. She's not just checking in with him, but they're talking about everything and, really, he is concerned with her well-being.

And I do love that Bernie and Amy's exchange underscores their love and devotion to their chosen men.
Howard is still kind of a weirdo--with his tight hootchie pants and "special" wardrobe, and his mother issues and his delicate nature, if you will ("he's like a baby bird").
And, of course, Sheldon is so very Sheldon.

Both of them have men that many others would not want. I mean, Penny knew both Howard and SHeldon before either of these two did and she actually kind of hinted--or just said out loud--that either of them could keep looking.

But, as Mary Cooper might say, there's a lock for every key.
Who but Bernie could find the sweet romantic heart beneath Howard's smarmy lounge lizard exterior?
Who but Amy could understand that there's a real person underneath Sheldon's outer behaviors and could bond with him both intellectually and emotionally?

I love that though they found the attention in the bar flattering, neither of them was really tempted to even flirt with the guys. They appreciated being appreciated physically, since the guys didn't even talk to them, but they weren't at all interested beyond a very cursory visual once-over.

Anyway, I loved all the couple-ish things in the 2nd episode that just underscored how in tune and in step Sheldon and Amy are with each other. That Amy understood Sheldon's deduction about Penny based on her takeout containers being in the trash (rather than on her counter or table or whatever.)

There's just so much...

I might have to revisit it all after I have time for a studied re-watch.

I think a lot of the people who weren't here during the hiatus haven't read yet about our new project. Perhaps it would be a nice idea to PM all the shipper on the Supporters List and call attention to our ideas for the 100th thread. Just an idea.
Perhaps it would also cause a response of Shippers who havn't been here for a long time but would love to say something too.
