Before the episode aired I wouldn't have said that he'd agree with her. But the way he explained it, it makes perfect sense. Like his season two complaint about Penny's dry cleaner also making keys. He thinks you can't put effort toward two thinks without halfassing them both.

Agree, and it's nice because it was perfectly in keeping with his character and reveals a sort of similarity between them ("we're dreamers") that's always been there, but just not been realised or tapped into before. Obviously the 'dreamers' thing is a joke, but I can see some truth to it - they both certainly aim high (or perhaps dream big would be a better way to put it). I really like this dynamic of seeing the parallels between Sheldon and Penny, as was seen in Spoiler Alert Segmentation. It was also fun seeing Sheldon and Penny gang up on Leonard again for a moment; that's at least the second time this season, after Discovery Dissipation.

I would definitely have to agree with you all. The Sheldon/Penny friendship is one of my favourite relationships in the show, simply because it's so fresh and gorgeous and frankly, more than once made me cry with an explosion of laughter. Their relationship is brilliant, and really adds a lot to the show and, at times, the characters. And yes! That scene!
