Well, a lot of people really like their friendship but really don't like the idea of them as a couple. There used to be one thread but people who didn't ship them romantically didn't feel comfortable there, not because anyone was rude, but just because they didn't agree with the romantic shipping. So this thread was created.

Yep. We wanted a place to discuss the canon moments without looking at manips or fan arts with romantic quotes or read posts about how much the S/P shippers prefer S/P to L/P or Shamy. Which like Rae said, posting those things in the Paradox thread is 100% allowed, so we just made a friendship thread where we could discuss their platonic relationship.

What a really like about these two is how they are polar opposites and because of that they teach/challenge each other a lot. They've both had to give/take a lot for this friendship to work. I think in the beginning it was more that they both cared so much about Leonard (both of them having admitted that they love him) and so they had to find a way to get along....but in doing that they have opened the doors for a beautiful and unlikely friendship.

Hey Sheldon and Penny fans!

Some friends and I have collaborated on a web site focusing on this dynamic duo. It's still being tweaked here and there, but it's an absolutely stunning feast for the mind and eyes (if I do say so myself). Seriously. It's unlike anything you've ever seen before.

We welcome all iterations of the Shenny - the platonic, the romantic, the philosophical, etc.

I love that friendship. They are so funny and cute

Yesterday I rewatched the episode, where the guys are in Las Vegas and Sheldon forgets his keys. So cute, how Sheldon says "Thank you for letting me stay here" and Penny treats him like her child. She acts like his mother sometimes and I think he needs that! And when she's in trouble, Sheldon helps her. On his own, weird ways, but it works!
