I'm lowkey confused/disappointed that they keep referring to this as an ex "boyfriend/girlfriend" situation. Like yeah there was no love there and the marriage wasn't even something they were aware of but it's just so damn funny I wish they'd remember it.

No, they didn't know they were married. But they did a whole episode focusing on the fact that they were married on paper and he's shown back up more than once since then and there hasn't even been a joke about it, which feels like a continuity error given the fact that the other guys (and maybe even Zack) would probably love to make jokes about it.
