R.I.P. Serial Apeist

I think that we were supposed to think that Penny's heart was not really into it based on her struggle in Anything Can Happen, but I still mourn the loss of the next Sharknado. This possible cult movie storyline had a lot of potential for her so I am sad that it is over. Hoping for the best next season.

Going on memory here, but I think she said something along the lines of "I don't have to be a star". She didn't say anything about giving up on acting. I think the whole point of the Serial Apeist plot was for Penny to learn that she can't act just for the sake of acting, or just because she needs to pay the rent. She has to hold out for something that is at least a little bit higher on the food chain than that.

I thought Penny's acting was good in the Serial Ape-ist scene, considering the material.

And it was great that she'd decided to her best with it.

While she doesn't currently have a job, I think this whole storyline in the second half of the seasons did wonders for her future career and understanding what she wants from it. I really like the result it produced in this episode, and I'm really loving the arc as a whole because of it.

I think that dedication to everything she does is really going to help her in her future career moves, whether it be in theater or movies

She's learned that she doesn't want to settle for anything just to have an acting job. I hope she can get the type of career she really wants in the coming years.
