I completely understand. I just got back from the spoiler thread... Honestly I don't understand why LPers have to feel so threatened that they feel they need to tell us that there was nothing sexual going on there. You know what - we know, we get it, we just think their sexual potential is there, and that it would kick ass compared to current LP.

Or maybe that's just me..

Sometimes I feel like we are not watching the same show. Its not like there is a love triangle being played out, I don't know why people get so bothered about our ship.

I don't care its fun, and I love SP's scenes together and that will never change, no matter what happens

LP are being written so dreadfully this season, and when they fall apart it will have nothing to do with SP.

I can be kind of crass at times, especially towards couples I don't like, but I would never tell someone to get over their ship because it's never going to happen. That's like telling a Brucas or Jeyton fan to concede and ship Leyton because the other couples are never happening again

Yeah. No S/P fan was even saying anything sexual was happening, that's why it's funny. Some people got threatened and decided to use that as a chance to tell us what couples we must ship on the show. Though tbh, if I didn't ship S/P, I would be worried though at the reaction the couple had in the fandom, because writers can be easily persuaded. It's almost as if some fans are anticipating an S/P explosion after the episode ends, and honestly, it's probably going to happen.

^^ It's already starting...but I am just as interested to see how much the SP fanbase blows up after this episode. I don't know LP are being received so badly by reviewers and non SP shippers alike that I would be nervous if that were my ship too. The press are still asking about SP, and LP are clearly together. I may be my biased because of SP love, but I don't see LP as the OTP anymore. Not saying this means SP will happen, but I don't see LP lasting.

Yeah exactly. There is no harm in shipping SP since it does not even interfere with LP. There is no triangle, so I don't get it. I suppose because SP is huge in the fandom it rubs some people the wrong way, lol. Somehow I doubt that some people would react to threatened if it was Raj touching Penny's boobs.

Exactly! Perhaps because the SP potential is very noticeable and that it makes people nervous?

I'm pretty sick too right now, so I am having fun wasting time online thinking about this episode! It makes the time pass much faster!

Yeah because admitting S/P has potential is basically admitting their original plan failed hard, and that is a humilation.

Seriously though, they can only ignore it for so long; they don't have another Monica/Chandler on their hands.

Awww...thanks! Everybody had the flu at work the last two weeks, and now its finally my turn. Thank goodness for my laptop, it provides hours of entertainment while I can stay comfy in bed!

I was sick two weeks ago, so I know how you feel. But I didn't have exciting news about SP to keep my spirits up.

I hope they won't ignore it just because it doesn't fit their view. I don't like it, when writers stick to their plan no matter what. If it doesn't work, you just move on and focus on what's going to work.

I hate that too. I always think if a different couple becomes well recognized than the one you planned, you should still take it as a compliment because you created that couple as well.

Work with it, don't force the other couple down our throats. It just leads to a situation where some of the characters become less favored in the fandom because of the relationship their in. I think Penny's likeability dropped this season
