That does seem really inconsistent and annoying. Though I can see why the Howard one wouldn't work - "acted like a bitch" is just a stereotype. If you "make someone your bitch," that's sexual violence. (Basically referring to why you don't drop the soap in prison.)

Not just annoying, but it must make the flow seem really choppy sometimes. Considering that most of the time TBBT is pretty tame, I can only imagine what they do with other shows that really lay on a lot of sexual talk and innuendo.

Ha! Well I guess I can see that. But I'd like to hear E4 try to explain why sometimes they cut a specific line out and occasionally it's left in (when broadcast at the same time of day). It's a bit of a joke really.

Sometimes I wonder what people who are more casual watchers must make of it, such as when you get the laughter from the studio audience in response to a joke that's been cut out. It doesn't present the show in the best way. They usually keep everything in for an episode's first airing at 8 or 8.30pm, but I have seen bits cut even then.

I swear the episodes are also played at a slightly increased speed in the UK too. The voices are a little bit higher! It's a small difference, but it's noticeable.
So glad I watch on the American schedule!
