I agree with you guys, that was a good line. As I recall, that was a change they made on the night. The original response from Sheldon was something like 'I'm not just sad I'm…' whatever. Can't remember exactly, but something along those lines. I think they made a good decision to change the meaning of the exchange like that.

I loved all the Shelnard moments tonight!
Their friendship has grown SO much over the years, and it's so sweet how they got upset at the thought of losing each other. But no chance that's going to happen! No matter they're living arrangements, they will always be BFFs. I'm glad they got their feelings out in the open. Once again, Sheldon's emotional growth this season is nothing short of astounding!__________________

I'd put this as a candidate for best Leonard/Sheldon episode ever. I think their talk in the waiting room was probably the most honest they've ever been with each other. I thought that whole scene was stunning.
So funny too - with the no wifi/"son of a biscuit" business, and not to mention them going into their girls' purses for tissues!  __________________
