TFTNT! Good title given the TLC show coming up.
Hmmm..I didn't have that photo come up on my dashboard. The poster must not be someone I follow. I am sort of glad it didn't come back on my dash. haha I think Jim is still a very likely candidate to get the role of Mr. Rogers. I doubt that photo would prohibit him from a chance at the role. I am sure others being considered have just as "naughty" of photos out there since the world seems to love to dig those up. I can so see him as Mr. Rogers, especially since he said as a child he wanted to be able to wear Mr. Rogers sweaters. Yeah, but too bad the facial expression is so insipid, with eyes that appear to be crossed. No resemblance at all to the real thing...

I just read about that doll on some Norwegian website (yes, I do understand some Norwegian). The text written there was hilarious, though.
Still I don't remember anymore exactly what there was. Something about that they hope the money will go to Jim from that doll... or something....  __________________

Since it's so quiet in here at the moment, I thought I'd ask a question.
Is there a particular episode or scene (or interview) that triggered your Sheldon/Jim love? For some reason it's a source of irritation to me that I can't pinpoint when it all started for me. Maybe it's because I watched so many episodes in a short period of time, supplemented by watching a bunch of stuff on YT. I feel like there had to have been some moment though when I really became aware of how darn cute Sheldon is. So...anyone? |

I had watched TBBT since its inception, and while enormously enjoying Jim's portrayal of Sheldon, didn't feel a particular tug of attraction to him. Then one night, while reviewing upcoming interview shows, I noticed the name "Jim Parsons" as the guest on that night's Craig Ferguson show. "Oh, that's the guy who plays Sheldon. I wonder what he's like in real life?" I thought to myself while programming my Tivo to record it.
That was the 2nd Ferguson interview he'd done, around April 2009 I think. Within 2 minutes of the interview, I was head over heels in fascination for this charming, quiet, thoughtful, engaging soul. Ever since, I haven't lost that fascination, and every new thing I learn about him makes me like or respect him even more. (Okay, except for that recent ridiculous photo! ) |

Thank you! I believe it was the same for me too. I remember one time on Craig when he kept randomly saying "ding dong!" Silly I know, but that exuberance and charm of his was what sent me into full-fledged infatuation.
To be honest I didn't find Sheldon/Jim particularly attractive when I first started watching. Maybe it's because Sheldon is usually sporting this rather dour expression. But when he smiles it totally transforms his face, and his looks just sort of sneak up on you. Now of course I think he's drop-dead gorgeous, and I think it's knowing what a beautiful, sensitive person he is in real life that has made me see him the way I do.  As for Sheldon, I think I sort of started seeing him differently after The Adhesive Ducks Deficiency. He really was kind of heroic in that episode in that he had to do a lot of things outside his comfort zone. |

He showed the same characteristics in the flashback episode where he saves Leonard from being blown up in the elevator. That strong side is more appealing than his whiny little boy or scornful know-it-all sides. |
