Me too! I'm just wildly speculating here, but do you think maybe TPTB want these characters to advance a little bit more physically before giving anything away in a photo shoot?

What I mean is if we see a photo of Sheldon and Amy tenderly embracing, would it still have the same forceful impact to see them hugging later on in the show? Does that make any sense?

More likely they've just decided that Lenny is their "money" couple, and so they're just gonna let the Photoship wizards on Tumblr handle all the Shamy promotion (at no cost to them).

PS I love Lenny and don't begrudge them at all. I just want some love for Shamy too.

That actually does make sense...but at the same time...we want more Shamy love. They could just as easily do some sort of casual kind of thing. After all, Sheldon doesn't mind Amy touching him...

I don't see how it would take away from the show if they did a photoshoot of them together. I also think that Shamy are just as much a "money" couple as Lenny anymore because if you look at various polls, message boards, and listen to questions that come up from fan events, they are very Shamy-centric. Shamy is big for the show and there is no reason to not go ahead and do a couples shoot for them. Yes I would agree with you if we were in S4 where they were still a new couple. But they have been well established as a couple now and will be starting their third/fourth year together so it makes sense that they could have them do a shoot together. They could do them as MaJim or as Shamy and I think fans would eat it up. They love them and want to see them together.

The fan artwork is great, but it isn't the same as when the show recognizes the couple and their popularity and really promotes them.
