I'm not sure it would've lasted this long either without Amy and Bernadette coming on board. I love the early seasons, too, but they really have added SO MUCH to the group. It's nice that Penny has her own girlfriends to hang out with and confide in, not to mention the humongous growth we've seen in Sheldon and Howard, which most likely never would've happened without these two ladies!

Truth! I came to the show AFTER they added Amy and Bernie, but I might not have stuck with it for so long if I got there before. Call me a feminist, I don't care, the female energy was the shot in the arm the show needed to hook me.

I'm one that didn't watch the show before the girls were on it, and I definitely think they broadened the show's appeal to a wider audience. I don't know the ratings in the UK, but it seems to have just got gradually more and more popular. I'm just going by the number of people I know who watch it. Not sure but I think S4 was when E4 started showing it on a daily basis, so that coincided nicely/luckily with the girls' arrival in the new episodes. __________________
