I'm actually glad this doesn't look like an episode I'm going to adore because that means I'm likely to be able to get back to my essay fairly soon after it ends.

Same. I'll probably watch it, do some homework, download the episode so I can gif the next day, then do homework.

Shamy or Lenny episodes have me fangirling for like an hour after it airs but this episode I'm just like "meh"

Wow. I haven't seen a thread so lukewarm in a while. I understand why, not every one can be a treasured gem or crank up the hype to fever pitch. Let's just hope that if we must have filler, it is decent filler.

I'm actually a pretty good RajEm shipper, but I'm not terribly excited about this one.

Hopefully things will jazz up a bit as we get closer to November.

I am a bit interested in seeing the whole comic book store storyline. Given that Stuart could barely support himself from his old store, I hope the guys are prepared to shell out more investment than return!

I have no problem with the Raj/Emily/Penny storyline. I figure they have to have some kind of grist in the mill to grind with before Emily becomes part of the gang.
And I think that if there's an issue over the Raj/Penny incident, it's going to be temporary because this show isn't about angst and drama.

I also think that Emily/Laura Spencer is a good fit for the cast and I do hope that they can make the transition from guest star to cast member.

I figure they only have 3 seasons, including this one, in which to develop a solid relationship for Raj--and I think they will. I firmly believe that this show is going to be about "happy endings all around" and that all the characters will be happy with a partner, including Raj, and that means that he has to find a girl and develop a relationship and end up on solid ground.

I think that Emily fits that bill so far, and I think that they need some stories to tell between them. I also think that, like Howard and Bernie, Raj and Emily will probably progress fairly quickly, since the "big stories" are probably going to continue to be about the Lenny and the Shamy.

So, if this is how they create a little friction as Emily is introduced further into the mix, then I figure it'll all be okay in the long run. Maybe there will be some friction for the next few times we see her, but I bet she'll end up being friends with all the girls soon enough.

Stuart's in this episode so that's got to be something to look forward to. Maybe I haven't been paying as much attention to the promos and such like for this one, so I'm coming at it 'fresh', but I'm looking forward to this episode as much as any. I must admit, I am still waiting for the fall-off-the-chair-and-roll-around-on-the-floor funny episode this season - I mean, they've all been good, but not quite Scavenger Vortex level yet. Don't know if this one will be, but so long as it's funny I'll be happy.
